Becoming a Travel Advisor is hard! When you first start, you’re not only learning how to sell travel and take care of clients, you’re also learning how to run your own business. It can definitely feel overwhelming. TravelOnly provides the tools, training, resources and supplier relationships you need to build a successful travel business, but you also need to be a self-starter. The advisors who make the most of the opportunity are the ones who are willing to learn, ask questions and put in the work. I’ve also been impressed to see TravelOnly continuing to expand its training beyond simply learning about suppliers. There is an increasing focus on helping advisors actually build a business, with training in areas such as marketing, sales, and business development. One thing I think is especially valuable is that TravelOnly gives you options for how you start. You can join as an Associate and build your own business, or you can join as an Affiliate under an established Associate, giving you the opportunity to work more closely with an experienced Travel Advisor. No matter which host agency you ultimately choose, I strongly encourage new advisors to consider starting their career alongside an experienced advisor. There is so much to learn that simply can’t be covered in training. Having someone experienced to turn to for mentorship, practical advice, and those inevitable “I’ve never seen this before” situations can make a huge difference. What I appreciate most about TravelOnly is knowing that support is there when I need it. Whether it’s answering a question, providing guidance or stepping in when I need assistance with a supplier, I know I have people behind me. A host agency can give you the tools and open the doors, but you still have to walk through them. TravelOnly has given me a strong foundation and the freedom to build my business my way.

I can honestly say that joining Atlas Coast Travel Group has given me a level of confidence and peace of mind that I didn’t have when I first started as a travel advisor.
