How we use it:

We do not sell or market to your email address when you write a review. When you write a review, you opt-in for our newsletter which we send twice a month.
Reviewer’s Email – To confirm identities and contact reviewer with any questions, is not publicly posted.
Reviewer’s Name – To add validity to review, is publicly posted unless anonymity is requested.
Reviewer’s Website (Optional) – To add validity to review, is publicly posted.
Years in business (Optional) – To add validity/context to review, is publicly posted.
Still affiliated with or using the company being reviewed? (Optional) – To add validity/context to review, is publicly posted.
Sales amount (Optional) – To add validity/context to review, is publicly posted.
Switching products (Optional) – To add validity/context to review, is publicly posted.

To remove your review/name/website:

Please contact us if you'd like to remove your review from our site.

To update your review:

If you'd like to edit or update your review, please log into your profile and you will see an update review button on your original review. When you update the review, it will have an 'updated review' label and visitors will be able to read your new review as well as your previous review.

How we use it:

When you opt in to our newsletter, you are added to our newsletter list. We send out our articles, news, and other updates we believe are relevant. We may send emails on behalf of third parties, however, your email address/name is never shared.

To remove yourself from our newsletter list

There will be an unsubscribe option at the bottom of every email, reply back, or you can contact Host Agency Reviews.

How we use it:

When you take a survey through Host Agency Reviews, you are given the option to be added to our newsletter. If you accept, see our “Newsletter” section above for how that data will be shared. For Survey data, we publish aggregated anonymized results on Host Agency Reviews—which may be shared or reproduced by third parties—however, your email address and name are not shared, nor is any identifying information.

Rarely our opt-ins have an additional checkbox asking if you would like to receive promotional emails from a third-party partner. If you check the box agreeing to receive emails from that partner, we will share your email/name with that partner.

How we use it:

We collect your name, phone, and email in order to send you reminders and any follow-up information regarding the webinar you signed up for. Our webinar presenters will also have access to the information you provide (only name and email). If you'd like more information on how the webinar sponsor will use your information, please reach out to their organization directly.

When you sign up for a webinar, you will also be added to HAR's Newsletter list. Please see above to review HAR's privacy policy in regard to the newsletter.

If you'd like to retract your name and information for a webinar:

Please email us if you'd like your information removed from a webinar. If you have already attended the webinar, and would like to remove your information from a third-party sponsor list, please reach out to that organization directly.

Public Information

We use Facebook Comments to allow users to comment on blog posts and pages. These comments are public and may be read, collected and used by anyone. You are able to delete your own comment or, if you’d like us to remove it for you, please contact Host Agency Reviews.

Embedded Content From Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

AdButler — Advertising

JotForm — Data Collection

HAR uses JotForm Forms to create data collection forms to both share with users and collect data for data analysis. We encourage you to read JotForms’ privacy policy.

HotJar — Heatmap

HAR uses HotJar to collect anonymous data on how users interact with the site. We encourage you to read HotJar’s privacy policy.

Rebrandly — URL Shortner

HAR uses Rebrandly to shorten long URLs and redirect QR codes and links as needed. Anonymous data is collected on when a user clicks on a short link. We encourage you to read Rebrandly’s privacy policy.

Soundcloud — Podcast host

HAR uses Soundcloud as their podcast host. Soundcloud collects anonymous data on when someone listens to one of our podcasts (Travel Agent Chatter and Friday 15). We encourage you to read Soundcloud's privacy policy.

Thinkific — Learning Management System

HAR uses Thinkific for their 7 Day Setup course (both free and paid versions). Thinkific collects user information for logins and tracks student activity through the course. We encourage you to read Thinkific's privacy policy.

WiserNotify — Marketing Solution

HAR uses Wisernotify to create notifications and marketing with social proof. Wisernotify may use anonymous data or information such as 'Steph L. purchased a report recently'. We encourage you to read WiserNotify's privacy policy.

YouTube — Video Host

HAR uses YouTube to host videos, stream webinars, podcasts and Host Week. YouTube collects anonymous data on when someone watches one of our videos. We encourage you to read YouTube's privacy policy.

Zapier — Automated Workflows

HAR uses Zapier to help connect and pass information from one piece of software to the next. We encourage you to read Zapier's privacy policy.

Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) — Email Provider

Host Agency Reviews uses Brevo for opt-in forms as well as to send emails to those who sign up. This includes but isn’t limited to our monthly email newsletter, webinar reminders, Friday 15 reminders, survey updates, Host Week Updates, and occasional emails from the HAR team. Snap Surveys— Survey Solution

Host Agency Reviews uses Snap for our annual travel advisor survey. We collect the data from survey respondents and analyze the data for our annual travel advisor research reports. We encourage you to read Snap's privacy policy.
