Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a Travel Consultant for our client, an established tour operator focused on authentic cultural experiences! This exciting opportunity allows you to use your firsthand knowledge to develop personalized travel programs highlighting popular destinations and off-the-beaten-path experiences. This full-time hybrid or remote position is for immediate hire!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop custom travel itineraries that reflect clients' interests, budgets, and travel style
- Build relationships with prospective travelers through personalized consultations
- Transform inquiries into bookings through knowledgeable guidance and service excellence
- Maintain communication with clients throughout their pre-travel experience
- Liaise with partners and vendors to secure unique travel arrangements
- Meet established performance metrics for conversions and client satisfaction
- Participate in ongoing product knowledge development and training
- Share insights and recommendations to improve company offerings
QUALIFICATIONS:
- In-depth understanding of Japanese culture and travel destinations through personal experience
- Track record of success in customer relationship-focused roles
- Ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously
- Consultative selling skills with focus on understanding client needs
- Exceptional attention to detail in planning and communication
- Team-oriented mindset coupled with independent work capabilities
- College degree or equivalent professional experience
- Some knowledge of Japanese language preferred
- Familiarity with Asian travel destinations beyond Japan preferred
- Previous experience in leisure travel, hospitality, or related field preferred
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
