Host Agency
I chose Magical Moments Vacations because of its excellent reputation, comprehensive training program, and status as an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. As someone beginning a new career as a travel advisor, I wanted to join an established agency that could provide the education, tools, and support needed to build a successful travel business. The Academy Program has been a wonderful introduction to the travel industry. The training is well organized, informative, and easy to follow. I especially appreciate being able to complete the courses at my own pace while balancing work and family responsibilities. The program has helped me build confidence and expand my knowledge of Disney destinations, Universal vacations, Royal Caribbean cruises, and the responsibilities involved in serving clients. Everyone I have encountered in agency management has been friendly, knowledgeable, encouraging, and quick to respond when I have a question. Their support has made me feel welcomed and reassured that I made the right choice in joining MMV. As a new advisor, I have not received a commission payment yet, so I cannot personally review that part of the experience. However, the training, communication, resources, and support I have received so far have exceeded my expectations. I am excited to continue learning and growing with Magical Moments Vacations!
Love working for this company. Very helpful and always there to help along this journey. They have lots of perks as a travel advisor. I love the weekly conference calls loaded with information to better help me build my brand. It helps that i get to enjoy this Journey with my loving wife. I would highly recommend working for this company as well as booking with this company.

Host Agency
PRO: 90% commission for a one-time fee. CON: I’ve always been an entrepreneurial guy, and I joined Legato because I wanted to build and operate my own travel business. What I didn’t expect was to be called an “independent contractor” while being told that I’m ONLY allowed to book through Legato. That level of control seems completely inconsistent with what being an independent contractor is and raises serious worker-misclassification concerns. If I truly own and operate an independent business, I should be able to choose who I work with, including having multiple host agencies. You can’t call someone independent while controlling where they are allowed to conduct their business. I hope the appropriate authorities eventually take a closer look at what Legato is illegally doing here and put a stop to it. My wife has been with another travel company for 16+ years, and I’m regretting my decision to try something different when starting out myself. The whole goal was to eventually work alongside her while also building my own business, and now this contract is preventing me from doing that. I feel completely stuck in this arrangement. Very shady practices here.

Hi, I’m Steph! I own the site. :)

I’m passionately curious, always up for something new! I love to travel, read/write, and meet new people. I have a sweet Aussie named Fennec and a boisterous Husky mix called Orion that keep me company!

I grew up in the travel industry, my parents’ travel agency was in the basement. Later on, I built and worked at a host agency for years. Sometimes I get so excited about things, I think I leave a trail of rainbows in my footprints! :)
