I decided to join WorldVia after checking out several host agencies, and honestly… it’s been the best move I’ve made so far. 🙌
Community and vibes are super important to me. I’m a huge vibe person, and from the start, WorldVia just felt right. They offer tons of training and in-person events, and I’m already signed up for their annual conference in September. And get this...it was under $1,000! 🤑 That felt like such a win, especially after paying $1,499 (plus hotel and air) for a previous host conference that didn’t feel all that valuable beyond the cruise itself.
I chose to start with their $9/month plan at 70% commission and paid a one-time $99 setup fee. It felt like a really smart move since I don’t have steady bookings just yet, and I can upgrade anytime. Compared to what I paid to start with my last host — $1,373 between the startup fee, required Virtuoso course, and monthly dues — this felt way more reasonable and flexible.
The onboarding was smooth, and the support has blown me away. During the week, there’s live chat, and you can actually call and talk to a real person. 📞 They also have an entire air ticketing team, which is a big deal for me. From what I’ve seen in the community, they jump in fast when flight issues pop up and help rearrange things without you feeling like you’re on your own.
One of my biggest concerns leaving Virtuoso was losing access to exclusives. Totally not an issue. WorldVia partners with Travel Leaders Network (TLN), and they’re part of TLN’s President’s Circle — so there are plenty of offers, FAMs, and tools. Honestly, TLN gives you a lot more to work with, especially when you’re just getting started. I’ve already found more training, leads, and resources through TLN than I ever had before.
And I want to mention something personal. As a gay advisor, it was important to me to feel welcome. 🏳️🌈 During my interview, I brought it up — and Jamie (who is amazing by the way) told me that they’re super supportive and that their Chief Revenue Officer is openly gay. That stuck with me. They don’t have a formal LGBTQ+ advisor community right now, but they said they’d be open to building one if there’s interest or even helping me create one. I felt seen and respected, which really mattered.
I was a little nervous that a bigger host might make me feel like a small fish in a big pond. But I haven’t felt that at all. Everyone I’ve talked to has been kind, responsive, and genuinely excited to help. I don’t feel like I’m bothering anyone when I reach out — I feel like I’m part of something.
If you’re looking for a host that’s supportive, affordable, welcoming, and full of real humans who actually care, WorldVia deserves a serious look. 💫 I feel motivated, aligned, and finally at home.
