Role Description:
We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated bilingual Group Travel Agent with strong sales acumen, and a proven track record of success. As a Group Travel Agent at Fareportal, you will be working in our growing Group Travel Department located in our offices in the US.
Our Group Travel Agents are responsible for providing group clients with some of the best airlines, hotels, experiences, cruises, vacation packages, grown arrangements, rail deals in the industry, while delivering the highest level of customer care.

Key responsibilities:
Manage potential client’s group inquires and requests, offering expert guidance and customized solutions via verbal and written communication, to secure optimal group rates and arrangements for air travel, rail, private charters, cruises, escorted tours, accommodations, and experiences, fostering strong relationship, increase clients base, and customer loyalty.
Provide personalized service to a wide range of group clients, ensuring timely, accurate and professional assistance for their distinctive cases and requests.
Oversee group sales transactions from start to finish, including negotiating contract terms and conditions, if necessary, rates, coordinate logistics and details, ensuring timely and successful execution of group travel arrangements.
Manage communication and relationships with our business partners through timely and professional touchpoints that support the group's business, follow-up emails, phone calls, online platforms provided by suppliers, attend to meetings that comply with best practices and the latest commercial and legal protocols to conduct business in a secure manner.
Fulfillment, provide expert support and professional solutions to our clients, addressing questions, concerns, changes, cancellations, extensions, refunds, billing clarifications with the highest degree of professionalism.
Drive security, sales, and retention through exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with new and existing client base, delivery personalized travel solutions to meet unique needs and exceed expectations.
Required Qualification:
5+ years of US based experience managing groups/corporate travel in travel agencies, airlines, or hotels, with a strong focus on sales, operations, and clients/business partners relationships.
Experience in a customer-facing role with a focus on groups or corporate travel
Expertise in inbound/outbound calls/emails customer service and issue resolution.
Travel industry knowledge, familiarity with travel software, systems, and regulations (e. g. GDS, CRM, ARC, IATA).
Operations experience with group travel planning, coordination, and execution, including contracts and negotiations.
Communication skills, excellent verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and vendors.
Problem-Solving and adaptability, proven ability to think critically, solve problems, and adapt to changing situations, such as last-minute cancelations or changes impacting the other travel components of a group.
Advanced GDS experience (SABRE and/or Amadeus).
Savvy Internet research skills for travel related purposes
Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with air, cars, rail, charters, hotel, experiences, and group contracts.
Preferred Qualification:
Basic ticketing knowledge.
Familiar with airlines NDC tools for group travel agents.
Bilingual English / Spanish to read, write and understand legal contracts, negotiate on behalf of Fareportal, and be able to offer competitive group products to our clients.
