Question & Answer Ask a question

For someone that wants to start their own agency, how does your company assist and can they be considered a Partner Agency>
Asked by Thomas Johnson III on January 8, 2020 in General

Experienced travel advisors (or existing agencies) wishing to start their own agency (or existing agencies wishing to earn more and remove some of the headaches of operating an agency) have a multitude of opportunities with Your Travel Center/Montecito Village Travel. We recommend an in-depth conversation to review the programs available; then we outline the programs and services that we can streamline for the advisor or agency owner. Some of the items offered include GDS, Virtuoso access, exclusive hotel programs, ARC reporting, coop marketing funds, etc.

Are you accepting new to the industry travel advisors at this point?
Asked by Beth Bromund on December 24, 2019 in General

As a host agency we are best suited for the experienced travel advisor, offering a wide variety of products, software, suppliers and freedom to run your own business. For those new to the industry, however, we highly recommend enrollment in a travel class to learn the basics and then working with a host agency that focuses on new-to-the industry individuals. There are many PATH (Professional Association of Travel Hosts) members that focus on new-to-the-industry and we recommend you check out those host agencies.

What makes YTC unique compared to all other agencies? Every time I compare agencies they all seem the same, which makes it hard to select only one!

What is the cost to sign up with your agency?
Asked by Leigh Yates on May 22, 2019 in Pricing

We do not have a "start-up" fee and all of our services are a la carte, meaning you only pay for the services you choose. For example, GDS trained agents pay a small annual fee for GDS access, etc. A background check (paid for by the candidate) is required and is refunded to the candidate if certain sales goals are achieved within the first year.
