My Experience with TravelOnly – Disappointing Communication & Treatment
I wanted to share my experience with TravelOnly to help others make an informed decision. As someone who has invested significant time and money into this company, I expected professionalism, support, and fair treatment. Unfortunately, my recent interactions have been deeply disappointing.
Despite my repeated requests, a simple payment matter that could have been accommodated was denied. The response I received addressed only a portion of my concerns while ignoring others, which I found frustrating and disheartening. This lack of communication and unwillingness to assist does not reflect well on the company’s approach to supporting its agents.
What I found most concerning, however, was TravelOnly’s immediate reaction when I mentioned that I planned to share my experience online. Within a short time, I received the following message from them:
Dear Shannon,
We wish you every success in your future endeavors. However, we must address your recent communications. Your recent expressions of contempt and the threats you have made are taken very seriously by TravelOnly.
Please be advised that we respectfully disagree with your opinions, and we reserve our right to refrain from commenting further on these matters outside of the appropriate legal channels. Accordingly, your agreement with TravelOnly is terminated effective immediately.
Furthermore, should you choose to publish or disseminate any defamatory statements regarding TravelOnly, please be aware that we will pursue all available legal remedies, including seeking damages, under the applicable provisions for defamatory libel.
We trust you will govern yourself accordingly.
To me, this response was a clear attempt to silence fair criticism. Instead of addressing my concerns, they immediately terminated my agreement and threatened legal action simply because I intended to share my experience. In my opinion, this reaction speaks volumes about how they handle dissatisfaction and why so many agents have left.
I believe transparency, accountability, and fair treatment are essential in any business relationship. I encourage anyone considering working with or booking through TravelOnly to do their research and ensure the company aligns with their values and expectations.

I was on the fence trying to decide between TravelOnly and another host agency and I am extremely happy I made the decision to choose this company. Anne is a top notch trainer and is there to support any of the learning materials from their online modules. Ana will help you with your marketing. If you are in doubt, make the decision to choose TravelOnly. You won't regret it.
Enjoy working with Travel Only, good events, great partnerships. All information you need is available. You must be extremely self motivated as there is limited direct in person support and no check in. Training is all reading so not accessible to all. Software for admin very clunky to use; not very user friendly.

I have been with TravelOnly since April 2010. When I researched travel home-based companies, TravelOnly came up first each time I researched. I liked what I saw with the reviews from current TAs and what I love the most is this is a family business. Since I was in the corporate world before, I was not looking to enter this again.
