I was with a previous host agency for 7 years and had to fight to receive almost every dime I earned. So many excuses and delays and lack of Head Office support. My previous agency may have been around for 25+ years but their services took a nosedive during covid and never bounced back.

I have worked in the travel business since 2008. I first started as an Independent Agent 7 months pre covid with another Host Agency. I truly knew no difference until I had so much time on my hands during covid and began to look at other options. A light bulb moment occurred to me one day when I reached out to my previous host and asked if there was a game plan for how we as a team would hit the ground running once we made it thru covid. Or were we offering any support to fellow agents during these rough times. I had questions and was prepared to offer solutions if they were invited. I wanted a website and was told no you can’t have one yet other agent were running websites. It took 7 clicks to locate me if a potential client was looking for me. At that point it was very clear to me that my business was of very little importance to that host.

I took my time and did a lot of research when deciding to choose a host agency and I'm glad I chose TTAND. I started with TTAND as a newbie to the industry in mid-2019 and the support from all the Head Office team, as well as all the agents that are part of the TTAND family, has been incredible and needed. Having never been in the industry before, I can confidently say that I would not have made it through the Covid years without their support and guidance. It's not just "lip-service" when they say "contact us with any issues/questions - that's what we're here for"; it's true; I know because I've called with some really naive questions and never felt that I was a bother or that they'd heard the question a thousand times before. I also wanted to thank TTAND for constantly investing in the technology to help make the load a little easier. While nothing will ever be perfect for everyone, you're always taking our feedback and incorporating it into the upgrades and these small changes are making big differences!
I signed up with TTAND just before Covid hit after working for another "franchise-type" agency for 5 years. It was a very strange time and very difficult to get going, but The Travel Agent Next Door provided everything I need to operate as a travel agent and grow my small (but mighty) client base. I recently made the decision to switch hosts. Previously, I paid no monthly or annual fees and I got what I paid for. I felt like I was bothering in office staff if I called for support. With The Travel Agent Next Door, it is definitely not like that. Support and training staff are paid by my fees so I certainly do not feel bad about asking even the most mundane question. Support staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable and quick to respond. In my 5+ years as a home-based agent, I have never received a congratulatory email from my manager or host until recently from Flemming. It was great to get acknowledgement for an excellent month. The Facebook group is a wealth of information and a good way to "meet" peers. The restart of in person peer events will be very welcomed. Looking forward to many years of success
I've just joined The Travel Agent Next Door, and so far the support has been outstanding. A very professional organization. What they offer here is much more than I thought possible in a host agency, and much easier than starting my own. Having my own online agency in the past and knowing the costs involved, I see the commission split and site fees as more than fair. This was my best option.
Well I just recieved a call form The Travel Agent Next Door's support team. They informed me that I have been with them for 51 months and they were just checking in to see how I was nad if there was anything they could do for me. I just want to say that even after 4 yrs the 'check ins' still keep coming at regular intervals and they are always there to support my business and I even between phone calls! They never stop improving on the support they give us or tools for us to be more successful. I have been with 3 hosts and I have found my forever hosts home. Love all of the team!
