I began my journey with Avoya about 6 months ago. The training was excellent. It is online so you can move at your own pace. There is live support every step of the way. The trainers have a great deal of expertise and are very patient. About five months ago I began with my first client. The excellent support continued with Avoya's Early Success program. They offer outstanding workshops conducted by experts in the field. Upon completion of their Early Success program, the support continues. With every question I've had or challenge I've encountered, the Avoya team has been there with timely responses. Their platform for booking and managing travel is excellent. It's user friendly! Lastly, I credit my success, over $900,000 is sales in less than 5 months time, with the training and support I've received from the Avoya team.

I have been in the industry for 52 years. In the past I have owned agencies in NJ and PA and was an American Express Representative for more than 30 years. I have my own clients and AVOYA has the programs, preferred suppliers and commission structure that allow me to meet my clients needs, keeps me competitive, and provides a good personal income. I have been an independent affiliate for almost five years (since July 2012). For anyone who is a seasoned agent this is the ideal company to join. This is a truly professional organization but it takes an understanding of the travel industry to really appreciate how good they are.

Avoya Travel is a wonderful company. Very professional. Provides live leads at no cost, great Mastermind program, education available at all times, and commissions are great. What is there not to like about a great company like Avoya Travel?

After struggling with for a couple of years with my previous host agencies, I found Avoya Travel and cannot imagine affiliating my business with any other. The "live leads" provides me customers so I am able to grow. The support is superior to any other I experienced. The company truly embraces a "shared success" philosophy. There are constant innovations in marketing and technology. The startup costs are fair and you are not nickeled and dimed with fees.

I am going to keep this relatively short which would be unusual for me so I wouldn't advise anyone to take bets on that!
My team partner Tim Orlowski signed up with Avoya 7 years ago this past February. Tim was trained by me and also SABRE and CLIA back in 1990 when we opened a "brick and mortar" travel agency in San Antonio Texas named Anchors Aweigh Cruises and Tours.
When he signed up he asked me if I would be interested in partnering with him and I wasn't wild about the idea of leaping back into the Travel Industry again. I started writing airline tickets for my Moms agency for allowance when I was a teen back in the early 1970s and then went on to get a degree in Hotel Administration with a concentration on Tourism and Travel so this is not new for me. Tim was working a full time job as an accountant in the Bay area and he was getting over surgery for cancer on his vocal chords so his voice was very raspy and he wasn't able to speak for long periods of time on the phone. I had just recently sold a business so I was kicking back and just doing real estate sales now and then. We both did the training of the system for 3 days back then and since Tim was working Monday to Friday, I figured I would try it since it was from home so nothing ventured nothing gained. We came into Avoya with quite a few of our own leads but I found clicking on the live leads was like being in a casino so I thought this could be fun. Well, from the hesitant player, I ended up working 8-10 hours a day. Tim would come home and find me at the computer on the phone. For anyone that says this cannot be done, just contact me or contact Avoya and they will share my success. We hit the 1 million mark easily in the first year. We stated the second year out so busy, that Tim quit his job as an accountant and started full time with Avoya with me. We went to our first Avoya Conference in June of the year we began and found out that we were "Rising Star". We won lots of awards and met so many fantastic people. I always say, if all of these amazing agents lived in my city, when I would have a dinner party, I would have to invite at least 100 people over . We have become true family. I grew up in this business and anyone that thinks that you will get a lead and sell that one and every other one you get, does not know this business. When we had our walk in travel agency, you won some and you lost some. That's the story of all businesses. The secret is persistence and talking with clients to get to know them ,their story and their wishes for a great vacation. Once you listen, then they will listen to your expertise and you will not only have a client for many years but many times a new friend.
Every company has positives and negatives but I have to say, I get much inner joy working with this organization. The owners of the company are people that I can truly invite to dinner at my home and we would all enjoy each other and they would enjoy my cooking!!! If they didn't like it, they are too kind to tell me.
Anyway, my guidance to anyone looking to join a host agency would be , whoever you choose to work with, don't blame them for your failures. Look within yourself and ask yourself if you put in 150% to clients and if you do, you will truly be a success.
Looking forward to many more years with this fine organization.

This is my 7th year with Avoya as an independent agent. I spent the last 15 months doing chemo for breast cancer and continued to work. I can honestly say that it kept me sane, if I could ever be called such. All kidding aside, where else can you decide how much you want to work, when, what lines you want to sell and just choose a customer when they show interest? All in your pjs if you like!
It is a great way to make money and develop friendships. I have over 3000 regular customers and feel blessed to work with this amazing company!

I have only been with Avoya for a relatively short time (and brand new to the travel industry) however in that time I have learned a great deal through the support network at Avoya. Additionally, the live leads program makes it very easy to grow my independent agency at the pace that works for me. All in all it has been a wonderful introduction to the industry and I look forward to many successful years to come.

I started in the industry 2004. Avoya was the 3rd Host I used and I have been with them for 10 years. The support from the owners down is amazing. There booking engine is the best ever used. They get the best rates and promotions out there. The yearly conference they offer is wonderful.
I can't recommend them more! They are the best in the industry.

I have been with Avoya Travel now for about 3 to 4 years. The people there are great and very helpful. The training and the information that flows through Avoya is top notch along with the training they deliver.

I am now almost retired from my firefighting job with one 1 year left and although I know I am not the biggest seller right now because of my work schedule. I know I have a platform and a log relationship with a great company when I do. They treat people like family and there Ap system is a great platform in itself.

Please excuse the length of this review, but the history gives me my basis for the review.

I had been a marketing director in the video game, hospital and hotel industry...then some advertising sales. The advertising sales gave me a taste of independence on the job that I had wanted for so long. Then, I needed to reinvent myself, once again. What could I do that would be professionally fulfilling, allow me to work independently and enable me to travel once in awhile -- and, oh yes, be FUN? Rewind...TRAVEL?

I did a Google-search, contacted IATAN and they referred me to The Travel Institute to begin the rather long and somewhat arduous path to becoming certified as a travel counselor/agent.

Then, the questions were "How do I get clients, how do I book their travel..." I registered with everyone I needed to register with. Still down to the biggest question, "How do I get clients?" I received invitations to conferences and a very important (to me) FAM trip to Paradissus Resort in Mexico.

I met travel agents who had been in the industry for many years. When they asked, "who is your host agency?" -- they saw a huge question mark over my head. I had no idea what a "host agency" was. "If you are just starting as a travel agent, you NEED a host agency first. Then, if you still want to work on your own, you'll know how to do it. But, you won't want to!"

I went to the Travel Agent Forum in Vegas in 2014 and “interviewed” numerous host agencies. I saw Scott Koepf speak and was impressed (and extremely motivated). I ultimately picked Avoya because of it’s overall personality and experience...but, as a "sales person" the phrase "QUALIFIED LEADS" made up my mind.

I would not be a travel agent today, had it not been for seeing Scott Koepf speak, and the intuition of two people at the Avoya Travel booth at the Travel Agent Forum in Las Vegas in 2014.

I had absolutely NO experience other than the certification through the Travel Institute, booking a couple of family members on trips, a couple of FAM trips and conferences, and a solid background in marketing and sales.

At the time, I did not quite meet Avoya's experience requirements, but they saw something in me and allowed me to join.

My first 6 mos. 2014 I did over $107,000 in sales. In 2015 I did over $370,000 and in 2016 over $410,000. I am now planning on working a full eight hours a day (at least) and my goal for 2017 is $750,000...or more!

If you participate and get involved with all they have to offer, there is nothing to become but SUCCESSFUL…at any level you desire.

Avoya has been family owned and operated for more than 50 years, with the original founders still alive and well, and still traveling (I believe). Second and third generation has moved them into the future! My point is...they care!

Avoya Travel's owners and staff are FUN, FAIR & INNOVATIVE. I believe Avoya always is open to new ideas from its affiliate agents and provides the very best in Superior-Experienced Support, Education, Motivation and, of course, QUALIFIED Leads…and so much more.

I could go on...but, hopefully you get my point. Call me if you need more! :)
