What do you like most about Tern?
Tern is clean, simple, and user friendly (both the advisor and client). What more could you ask for? It’s the first software that leads with an itinerary builder that IS also your invoice. It’s simply genius and I am so proud to recommend this company to your agency and agents. While it may seem expensive, being able to easily track all of your sales and commissions and onboard a new client within minutes is not only worth it, the system pays for itself in a day. Our sales are steadily increasing each week and a lot of this is due to Tern. Highly recommend!

This question is a funny one to me because Tern is always improving and they believe that they can always do better. What other company puts out updates every single week?
What problems does Tern solve for you?
Tern makes the process seamless for our agency from the moment a client reaches out, we have automations in place to send an inquiry form to the potential client, once received send an email with our calendar to schedule our first meeting, then send a recap and fee invoice, on and on. These automations and templates that we can build are life changing for our agency. While it takes a while to build up your library and we are continuing to do so, we never have to do that work again. Beyond this, the software is just so darn easy to use with a very robust (and always improving) agency back office. In essence, it solves almost any problem that we had before and I’m confident that soon it will solve all of them.
What do you like most about Tern?
The support from the Tern team is amazing. We ask for it and they do their best to implement it. The platform itself is easy to use, creates beautiful itineraries, is becoming an all in one platform for everything your agency needs: proposal and itinerary creation, CRM, accounting, payment authorization, and more. And they have AI to easily import a PDF or copied text so no more copy/pasting endless documents.
What are some areas of Tern's product that could be improved?
The word processing element is a little clunky so formatting is sometimes a challenge.

As an agency owner, Tern has provided a unified platform for Rainbow Getaways advisors, including a secure CRM, an itinerary builder to present information to clients, and a breeze-to-use commission reconciliation process. Add in the newly released collaboration pieces and the soon-to-be-released group features, and Tern will have created one of the most potent tools for agency owners and independent advisors in the travel trade.
What do you like most about Tern?
As a company they are super transparent, honest, and provide excellent support for their services. They take what travel agents need/want, and they say "how can we make it even better." Then they blow our minds with what TERN can do and how it looks. They are constantly "shipping" new updates that have value. I can see how hard they work, but more importantly how much passion they have for what they do and for the travel industry. They are trying to make our lives as travel agents as easy and possible. Getting rid of all the obsessive copy/paste we have to do to pull together a quote/itinerary. Oh, I almost forgot, when a client completes my form, it automatically creates a TRIP for me, with all their information they inputted! I can tell these are all TECH people, that know exactly what they are doing & spend a lot of time to do right by us, the travel agent.

They are still shipping new features. So, they are currently working on groups, which is a huge missing feature. However, they should start shipping some of those in the next month and continue to do so as they enhance. I am waiting patiently for their email marketing to integrate, so I don't have to pay even more for that side subscription as I don't like TESS at all for those. I would also like to embed my forms into my website. AS of now they are just linked in my site. But again, I know all of these are coming down the road. And when you see them working so hard on getting us what we need & the timing of it all. I will happily wait for these little things, that I know are coming.
What problems does Tern solve for you?
They make putting together quotes, much faster. It has been a true time saver. The credit card authorizations are automated!!! HUGE time saver. They keep all my documents together attached to the itinerary. Their boards on the TRIP screen is SO helpful to see where I am in the planning stage. From initial contact to quoting to following up, booked/paid and more! It has really helped me with my follow up, because I can easily see which trips are in that stage! Game changer! Also, the templates that we can save, to easily use again. Specifically the emails, are a game changer. Whenever I send an email to the client, I almost always have a template saved for that, so I am not typing over and over again the same things! And it is super easy to find which email I want, and select it. For example "congrats your deposited" or "thank you for your pament" or "Your proposal is ready" or "how to make a payment". Super easy to pull those emails up, and easily send to the client. Plus my gmail is automatically connected, and I can access all that are related to a TRIP, right from TERN.

Complete proposal, itinerary and booking management platform built with TA protections at the foundation. Responsive team that listens to our needs in providing features.
What are some areas of Tern's product that could be improved?
Managing travel groups (which should be delivered in last of 2024), lack of a TA app and providing emailed receipts to show payments with remaining balances. However, each week brings new features.

TERN is like if all the good parts of ALLL the other travel agent tech out there (CRM, Itinerary builder, itinerary apps for client, proposals, fee collectors, etc) all had a BEAUTIFUL baby!! I love all the features and the team is VERY responsive to requests and issues.

There are some aspects when it comes to groups but they are already making improvements based on agent feedback.

All in one place for everything. I no longer need 2,3,4 subscriptions to do what I want or need to provide for my clients. They make me look so much more professional and on my game (even on those days where I’m not).

The company's response to clients is truly outstanding. They are forward-thinking with a clear and cohesive vision for the future. Not only do they consistently enhance what’s already in place, but they also keep innovating and adding more value. I’m especially impressed with the layout—it's so easy to follow my workflow and stay on top of everything happening.
What are some areas of Tern's product that could be improved?
Groups. I'm excited to see how the group feature unfolds since it's already on the schedule. It would be fantastic to have the ability to schedule emails, and I'd also love a bit more control over the formatting and content of printed itineraries.

The biggest issue Tern solved for me, almost immediately, was the overwhelming sense of chaos I had before using it. I had papers scattered everywhere and constantly worried I’d miss something important. Tern’s organized layout, especially the column view, made it so much easier to track my progress and fine-tune my workflow. As a result, I can now deliver high-quality customer service to my clients with much more confidence and efficiency.

I love that it's more of all in one solution. Also, they are constantly making improvements and enhancements all the time. They even let us make suggestions and have users vote on them.

None as they are constantly evolving. Also, they actively take are suggestions and implements them.
What problems does Tern solve for you?
CRM, Email masking, e forms, meeting scheduler, itinerary builder, proposals, invoicing, PCI compliant credit card authorization, task automation. Also, since they have the email masking capability, I can send out forms, proposals, etc. to appear to come directly from my email address and then Tern consolidates all of those and attaches them to that client or to that client's trip for easy reference.
