What is the benefit to joining a host agency that only hosts and does not sell travel as a travel agency?
Asked by Tresa Webb on July 23, 2022 in General

I love what Joshua said, we don't compete but with that said, many of our staff in a previous life were travel professionals. Their experience in the industry is so important to helping all our members grow their business - Bonnie

I will add to this on as a travel agent. I agree there is no competition. Think of your host as the resource. If you need connections (Such as a BDM, airline, hotel, cruise, etc) they have you set up. This is not something you need to work for, saving you time. If you need any training, they have it. They carry insurance for you (although you may want to get your own too, if preferred). I highly recommend a host that fits your needs. I was with one, that didn't I felt like I had failed. I have joined Travel Quest and succeeding.

Once we sign up, how long is it before we can book our own personal travel at a discount?
Asked by T Flint on February 22, 2022 in General

Hi T Flint, once you complete the sign-up process, you will be able to register with our suppliers. Each supplier has different requirements for their TA discount programs. When you log into the travel agent portal for a select vendor, you see the conditions.

We work with several partners who provide travel agent website services for our agents. One is Travel Leaders Edge. You can see visit a sample site here: https://worldvia.vacation.travel

You also get a free agent profile on travelleaders.com by joining Travel Quest Network: https://www.travelleaders.com/travel_agent/agent-details.aspx?id=89401

I agree to all those, I however have created my own website www.getawaybytjb.com. I suggest you get a domain to create that unique name. WIX.com is a free website and professional looking. Having your own, then the Travel Leaders is great cause it's more of you out in the internet world.
