I was referred by someone I knew to The Travel Society - and while I miss the tech from the other agency, I love the comraderie, the management, the experience, and the professionalism of The Travel Society. I feel I am part of a family, and not a number, with The Travel Society. They want me to succeed - my success is their success.
They have a choice of commission structure as well, and take the time and effort to know me as a person and as a Travel Advisor. A small company feel with the large company benefits, along with being part of the Virtuoso network.
As background - I am relatively new to the industry, sole proprietor - and started as a Travel Advisor in 2023 with a very large HA that has a lot of good reviews. I did not realize until 6 months in that while they had great systems - but their operations and payouts/commissions were not very good and operations were questionable. Basically, they were shiny and bright - but really lipstick on a pig. I didn't know what I didn't know, and I learned on round 2 what to really look for in a host agency.
We have been with The Travel Society for about 13 years, and they are fantastic, they are very fair, extremely easy to work with and they make it a point to keep all of their agents up to date and informed on all travel related issues and current events.
Also, they pay on time, all of the time and any time there is a problem it is resolved immediately.

The support here is amazing. You also have levels of what commission split you would like as this is not the case in many host agencies. The best thing though is that the people are just nice! I know that sounds like something small but if you have to interact with your host agency you really want a good experience because life is too short to deal with jerks. This team could not be more kind and is such a good experience. Always ready to help and chat. Definitely recommend to anyone new or old to host agencies. Best I have known. Great team

I have been with the same agency since 1981. To say that over the years the travel business has changed a lot is an under statement! We made the decision to join The Travel Society about 8 years ago when our accountant wanted to retire and we made the best choice to join the Travel Society to take care of all our back office work. When I first started selling travel I was associated with a "mom and pop" storefront. This served my clients well for many years. When I realized all my clients were in the luxury market I decided to move to an agency that would better serve my needs and be more beneficial for my clients. The Travel Society ticked off everything I needed. It has been a "match made in heaven" ever since. The staff is professional and ALWAYS there to help me. Most important in sales it is how are you supported when there are hiccups. WELL The Travel Society staff is ALWAYS there to support me and assist my clients to get the resolution needed for the issue. The staff consistently works with all the suppliers to have the very best relationship and to get our travelers the BEST benefits. Again, this is a win-win relationship. The Travel Society is my third (and final) host agency I've joined since starting last year. Having the ability to compare to some others, I am definitely with the right one now. I couldn't have told you who the president or anyone who worked directly in management were at those companies, but when I was thinking about joining TTS, I had a call with the president and VP immediately. As members of TTS, we have direct numbers and access to every director/staff member and I can call them up any weekday and get a hold of them. They know me by name, what I sell, what areas I need help in, etc. even though I just joined in January 2024. Their motto is "we only make money if you make money" which empowers every action they take everyday. I can feel this in everything they do for me and the other agents. I did not feel this was the goal with the other host agencies I was with.
TTS has provided me with an invaluable mentor, access to luxury amenities for my clients, access to conferences to improve my knowledge and skills, and countless resources. TTS values quality over quality which is important in this business. I realize now I was just another number in those agencies and am now part of a family.

I have been with The Travel Society for several years and could not be happier! They do a fantastic job setting their agents up for success through the varied types of support and advice (being able to reach out to both their staff and other TAs) as well as professional development opportunities offered through their onboarding, their annual Summit/conference, and their affiliation with Virtuoso. The Virtuoso affiliation is a great way to add value for clients and to provide even more opportunities for me to grow as a TA. Travel Society staff is always VERY responsive to any questions I have, I love being independent while still having support when needed. On top of all of this, I feel valued and appreciated, not just a number like some may feel with other host agencies. They actually take an interest in your success.
