I could not overstate how professional Andavo is a Host Agency and as a company. I am not sure I would recommend it for the new entry agents, but it is a blessing for any seasoned agent that can leverage not just the buying power and contracts from Andavo and their affiliations. But it truly goes well beyond just great contracts and rates, it is how easy it is to work with them and how many tools are available that go well beyond any traditional host. And finally, the ease of work... Andavo staff really become part of one's team by candid direct conversations. They are wonderful. We are happy and lucky to be part of them.
I have been in the travel business since 1980, with a few years off for good behavior. I have worked for the cruise lines both onboard and in the corporate office, then selling Luxury travel since 1989. I have found that boutique agencies are the most responsive but lack volume of business to give your luxury clients the best value. After switching to a Mega (Virtuoso) agency in January I found far worse than the boutique for the simple fact that the tracking of commission takes an additional 90 days or more. Your pipeline needs to be much larger. For someone like me who relies on this to pay the bills, I have found Andavo to be the best solution and am relieved to have finally found a home.
Additionally, the support for agents has been fantastic and teaching this old dog a few new tricks as well, by embracing the technology side. There has never been a better time to be a travel advisor.
