I have been selling travel as a side hustle only occasionally for the last 6 years; not enough to make any real money but mainly arranging my own travels and those of family. Earlier this year, I decided to find a new host agency, and came across Fora's marketing, so I compared with all of the other "First Class" host agencies appearing here on hostagencyreviews, and decided to submit the advisor intake form.

What initially drew me to Fora was their tech-forward approach, in knowing that the travel industry is painfully archaic and not the easiest to get into. Upon joining, I was pleasantly surprised at the level of support and training provided (even for those brand new to the industry). There is a very active community of travel advisors on the "Forum" with an abundance of knowledge being passed around. It really is a community of eager individuals, and not your old grandma travel agents who have been in the industry for decades.

Fora is new, and their tech team is making really great progress releasing new products and features. Their technology roadmap has a lot of exciting things that will make travel bookings easier and more efficient for us advisors. I'm really excited for the new booking engine going live in the next few months!

With Fora, and especially with the community of travel advisors supporting one another, I have been able to significantly build up my confidence (and with it, success) in just a few months. For the time being, being a travel advisor is still a side hustle as I have a day job, but I my success is due 100% to word-of-mouth referrals (zero marketing), and I can see how this can easily turn into so much more if I want to put forth any effort.

I joined Fora earlier this year and the community has been so supportive! The training program is fantastic and I really feel like I was set up for success from the beginning, in addition to having opportunities to learn more as I advanced. There's constantly new technology being rolled out to help make our jobs easier and I look forward to taking this full time in the future!

Being part of the Fora community has been amazing and one that I am so happy to be a part of. I was so excited to start as an independent contractor, but nervous at the same time. I just started with Fora at the end of May and it has truly been the most amazing experience. While I still feel like I'm barely scratching the surface of the travel industry, I also feel like I have learned so much and been able to get friends & family even more excited about traveling. The variety of trainings, the platforms and access to content, the constantly updated resources, and the community of other advisors who are willing to help & share...these are all things that have made this a great side gig (that I hope will turn into a full-time career!) I have been with Fora for 3 months and in that time they have equipped me greatly for success. I've been with Fora for three months. In any other job or side hustle, I'd still feel like an amateur in that time. But Fora has given me such fantastic resources & tools that I already feel like a pro travel advisor. Plus, Fora has a fantastic forum where travel advisors share great information and learn from each other. There is a wealth of restaurant, hotel, transportation, and activity recommendations on the forum, making it easy for me to plan incredible itineraries for spots around the globe. If you love travel, you'll feel like a kid in a candy store everyday with Fora. You'll learn so many insider tips that you'll wish you had joined sooner!

I read through a ton of reviews on Host Agency Reviews when trying to find the best host agency for me as a brand new travel advisor. I found Fora had minimal reviews at the time (and still does compared to other host agencies) but there was something really pushing me to take a leap of faith. Since I had such a strong gut feeling I overlooked the minimal reviews and I joined some training webinars, that were open to anyone interested, hosted by Fora to get a feel for what I was signing up for. Listening in I was confident that this was the host agency for me. I couldn't be happier with my decision to join Fora.

Fora has exceeded my expectations and provided me with all of the resourced I need to succeed! The Fora team and the community they have created are supportive, friendly, and helpful. The training and resources they provide for their advisors are amazing. The company is innovative and open to new ideas. I love that they are always connecting with new suppliers to provide their agents with great options for clients.

Bonus for me is that Fora is local. The HQ is in NYC and they always open their doors to travel advisors to stop in. There are always training opportunities where I can join either in person or from wherever.
