Pi’ilani Lua is a kumuhula — a master teacher of Hawaiian dances, embodying the qualities of artist, manager and religious leader. She comes from a long lineage of kumuhula and has been practicing for more than 40 years. Lua created the Waimea Falls Hula Competition and halau (educational facility), and has toured throughout the islands, states and world.
