Waybird makes it so much easier to create beautiful, clear safari itineraries. What I love most is how quick it is to use, and how polished the final proposals look. Instead of sending long emails or clunky PDFs, I can send guests a simple link with everything laid out clearly - everything from maps, images, daily plans, even travel times between camps. Guests often comment on how helpful and easy it is to understand. It really helps us stand out and keeps the process feeling personal and professional.
What are some areas of Waybird's product that could be improved?
One thing I'd love to see improved is the ability to upload our own photos to existing camp profiles. Often, we have our own high-quality images taken during visits to lodges—photos that really capture the atmosphere or show unique angles that the standard stock images don’t. It would be great to easily add these to a property’s profile so our itineraries feel more personal and true to the experiences we’ve curated ourselves. This would help us tell the story of each trip in a more authentic way.
What problems does Waybird solve for you?
Waybird saves us a huge amount of time. Before, we were building itineraries manually in Word or Canva - it took ages, and changes were a hassle. Now we can put together a full proposal in under an hour, and it looks much more professional. It also helps our guests visualise their trip better, which makes it easier for them to get excited and make decisions.
What do you like most about Waybird?
What really stands out for us is how Waybird takes the stress out of building custom itineraries. It feels like having a digital assistant that knows our destinations inside out; especially for Africa, where so much curated content is ready for us to pull in with just one click. We love how simple it is to add our branding on quotes and proposals, add content like videos to wow clients, and re-use templates for our favourite properties and experiences.
Another positive is the integrated payment feature - making it so easy for clients to confirm and pay, which really helps boost our conversion rates. The automatic reminder emails are another feature to keep our proposals top-of-mind without us having to chase payments.

What are some areas of Waybird's product that could be improved?
A few tweaks would make Waybird even more powerful for us. Adding smarter AI tools to suggest activities or highlights based on geo-location would save us research time and inspire even better itineraries. An company database for our own saved media that we can easily add to any proposals, property, or activities would also be a big win (currently you can't easily add or edit media with external media uploads unless you duplicate the item). Lastly, having a built-in chat or message hub for enquiries would help us keep all customer requests in one place, instead of relying on emails sent to our external company email inbox.

Instead of juggling messy files and manual quotes, we can create stunning proposals quickly; complete with high quality images, videos, integrated payments, and follow-up reminders all in one place. This saves us precious time and makes it easier to turn any enquiry into a quick proposal - and ultimately resulting in more confirmed bookings.

What do you like most about Waybird?
I love the way in which I can build itineraries quickly with Waybird, as I specialise in Africa as a destination much of the content is already loaded for me . I can also create templates for properties or experiences I use regularly . As you would expect, I love the way in which my quotes are branded , and the staff have always been very flexible and helpful when needed . I love that I can also attach videos of properties and destinations to elevate the quote for the client's viewing.
What are some areas of Waybird's product that could be improved?
Yes, I would like to see a database added. I would like to see the system linked to a live flight information and a section for flight times to be added as optional.

What do you like most about Waybird?
The itineraries look fantastic, but Waybird is so much more than just an itinerary-builder. It is an entire back-office solution for hybrid travel advisors/tour operators like myself. They process client payments, make supplier payments, and provide E&O liability insurance.
What are some areas of Waybird's product that could be improved?
Their content library is focused on Africa, Asia, and Latin America (which is great for me as an Asia specialist). But I occasionally have a Europe booking, in which case I can request that they add the hotels/tours I need or add them myself. They are working on adding European countries, so that will be a nice improvement when that content is there.
What problems does Waybird solve for you?
With other itinerary builders, I'd spend a lot of time sourcing and sizing photos. Waybird's content already includes high quality photos of hotels and attractions, which saves me so much time. And having all their back office support services makes me more efficient, so I can spend more time creating itineraries instead of doing admin!
