I have been a home-based agent with Vacationkids for about a year. I am very pleased to have chosen to work with Sally Black and the wonderful team of agents that truly make Vacationkids a unique agency amongst the many options that are out there for the travel newbie. Sally provides training, support and a wealth of knowledge to get your business off the ground. The team encourages each other and celebrates individual successes. It is truly a business that is your own but you are not in it alone. If this is what you are looking for in a host agency than I don't think you will be disappointed.
I've been working for Vacationkids now for 18mths and can honestly say it was a perfect fit from day one. Sally has been incredibly accommodating and supportive as I've built my business and helped me better understand how the US market works. My previous experience was as an agent in Australia and things do not necessarily translate exactly from one market to the other.
We're also extremely fortunate to have a great team who's varied expertise mean there's always someone to bounce ideas off.
After working in Operations for a Travel wholesaler, I decided to transition into becoming a Travel Agent. I spent weeks searching for a host agency that I was comfortable with and came across VacationKids. VacationKids is an amazing host agency. I have been an Independent Contractor with them for a little under a year but it has been an amazing journey. Sally gives the best training and makes sure that we are all kept up to date on hot topics and new properties. Along with Sally, our dynamic team works hard to make sure that we all succeed and that is extremely important to being successful in this industry.
I have been working at VacationKids for about a year and a half now. It's a part time position for me and one that I truly enjoy. Sally Black, the founder and owner is amazing to work with! Her knowledge of the travel industry is phenomenal and she is willing to share her experience with her people. She lets us set our own pace and encourages us to market ourselves through contributing to blogs, our own Facebook pages and travel industry events. I also feel that our commission split is fair and reasonable. The other agents are all supportive of one another. Everyone is willing to answer questions and help each other out. I am happy that I took the step to join this agency and hope for a long association.
I've been working as an IC for Vacation Kids for almost a year. I actually was introduced by hostagencyreviews.com, and reached out to Sally through this site. I was drawn to this agency because it didn't feel like a lot of the agencies where there was a membership fee and an 800 number. I was inexperienced in this industry and wanted some guidance and support, and felt like that would be offered with Vacation kids. Sally is very personally involved with all of the agents, ensures that you have the training you need to effectively sell travel. The split is pretty reasonable especially considering that your aren't required any investment to get started. You really can build at your own pace.
VacationKids, owned by Sally Black, is a great agency to work with. Sally truly works with you individually and as a team to help you learn the industry at your pace. She is very generous with her time and sharing her experience, expecting honesty, integrity, and fair work in return.
The commission split is very reasonable and agents have a lot of opportunity to grow their business.
The ICs working with VacationKids are a great team, all with different areas of expertise. We really do work together and help each other out which makes a huge difference in being able to help clients.
