Does the web site you provide allow our clients to sign in and make their own reservations?

Hi Richard,
Thank you for your message with your question. Members clients cannot sign in and make their own reservations. It is the responsibility of the member to make the booking with their clients billing information on their behalf.

Do you offer your agents a CLIA card immediately- Or is there a certain threshold that you require?

They do NOT offer a CLIA card immediately. This is something you will need to apply for via CLIA. However, I can tell you that there is no threshold required, they do recommend it but not required. I am a new(ish) Travel Agent, no where near the threshold, and I joined CLIA, I already have my embarc so that it can be used.

What is the benefit to joining a host agency that only hosts and does not sell travel as a travel agency?

I will add to this on as a travel agent. I agree there is no competition. Think of your host as the resource. If you need connections (Such as a BDM, airline, hotel, cruise, etc) they have you set up. This is not something you need to work for, saving you time. If you need any training, they have it. They carry insurance for you (although you may want to get your own too, if preferred). I highly recommend a host that fits your needs. I was with one, that didn't I felt like I had failed. I have joined Travel Quest and succeeding.

I love what Joshua said, we don't compete but with that said, many of our staff in a previous life were travel professionals. Their experience in the industry is so important to helping all our members grow their business - Bonnie
