About Largay Travel

Largay Travel is a (50) year young, 3rd generation family-owned travel management company with both a storefront and host agency division. Currently they are a team comprised of (135) joyful advisors and managers. As founding members of Virtuoso and as a branch of Tzell Travel, they extend to their independent contractors a robust and comprehensive suite of adviser sales tools, technology, and resources resulting from their unique dual industry affiliation.

For new and aspiring travel professionals, Largay Travel offers a dedicated and comprehensive live training and learning mentoring academy. The annual mentoring academy is a 6-month online class that historically starts every September and ends in March. Applications and personal interviews for the highly competitive travel academy typically begin in January and conclude in July. Tuition for the educational-mentoring program requires a $2,000 initial fee and $200/month for as long as students are in training.

In addition to the 6-month Largay provided educational programming and curriculum, new advisors are required to attend a VCTA training (Virtuoso Certified Travel Advisor). These week-long, in-person events are held quarterly in locations across the US. Cost to attend the Virtuoso provided instruction is $1650.

All accepted mentees into the Largay travel academy are required ( mandatory) to personally attend a Connecticut onsight, Largay Travel orientation at the outset of the class schedule.

For experienced travel advisors interested in joining Largay Travel's host agency division, there are no signup fees. The commission-financial % split program starts at 70/30 and can graduate to 80/20 predicated on achieving defined productivity thresholds.

For a monthly fee of $30, all advisors within the Largay Travel host agency network have access to an in-house air desk, an onsite, full scale TV & podcast production studio, as well as a suite of technology,CRM, marketing, invoicing, accounting and backup support services when traveling. Largay Travel provides multiple, full-time experienced staff members that assist all independent contractors’ clients while their advisor is away. 

One of the MOST strategic and valuable and available advisor resources is the Largay internal adviser forum that provides comprehensive-collaborative detailed travel advice for fellow advisors for diverse destinations and activities. Collectively there are (1700) years of travel industry experience powering and populating the information and recommendations within the private Largay forum.
