If you are looking for a host agency, you must remember that you are now a small business owner. I have had my frustrations with learning the industry but I am not afraid to ask. And keep asking. And keep doing and learning. I went through the 1 * reviews here and see they are quite old. I'll briefly explain my experience. Joined in June 2019 and spent the first 2 months completing the online training. 1 issue I had with that is that it is all mocked up - not live. So you had to click and do but when I did go live I was like, Oh My! I should take the training again. Which I did. And then I started learning all the cruise lines and completing their training programs. Joined CLIA and used their resources. I also just completed a 2 day regional training and was blessed enough to have them come to my TOWN for it. It was PHENOMENAL. I was elbow to elbow with successful Cruises Inc advisers and learned from about 15 different vendors in person. I was also able to have 1-1 with my BDM and my PR and Groups Rep from corporate. I don't know if you're going to get that type of support from other host agencies. Is it tough to get new customers? Heck yes. But is this company supportive of me? Heck yes they are. I do have the end goal of growing and purchasing a franchise. One thing to remember - you are your own business. They are not required to force you to take the training or to give you customers. You can do this and the other advisers are THE best.

He told me he would show me what not to do, so I wouldn't repeat mistakes. I focus on selling, and back office does the rest of the work including customer service. Cruises Inc. has been absolutely incredible in their support of me in growing my business and I can’t say enough about it. Nothing makes a client happier than an agent who is on the ball with all the items necessary to ensure a complete vacation experience, both before and after the sale.
Cruises Inc. allows me to earn additional commissions on shore excursions and travel insurance, as well as all the standard components of a total vacation.
This is my second host agency relationship. Over the years, I've talked with just about all of them at conferences. I love the way I'm treated by Cruises Inc. WE have the ability to chat with other agents and they all seem happy to help with my questions. Our websites give us the ability to have our clients research and book online if they want to. I'm notified right away if someone books one of my sites and can contact my clients to give them that TLC they want. I am not charged extra for my websites, for support or for my E&O insurance. The suppliers are eager to take care of me and my clients - I think that's because of the Cruises Inc name. Some suppliers, like RCCL and NCL even have special desks to take care of Cruises Inc agents. Boy, does that cut down on the waiting time. Best of all, not once in the five years I've been with them has my commission been late! Not once.
I'm pretty new to travel but have been in sales and have taken advantage of more than one opportunity to be home-based. I did a lot of research before choosing Cruises Inc. They had a clearly developed training program and I thought that would be important because I was new. They delivered in spades! I received plenty of support when I finished training and they helped me get my marketing started right away. They even sent me ideas to jump start my business BEFORE I started training! I would also give high marks to their technology. The reservation system is fast and easy to use and the websites I have are spectacular.
