I found ATHome through my Certified Travel Associate coursework through The Travel Institute. I liked the trainings offered and felt it would be a great fit for me since I was starting my own travel agency. The trainings gave me the confidence to reach out to an astrophotographer to see if he would partner with me and he did! The trainings helped with my organization and setup of the event which was fantastic! I couldn’t have accomplished this outcome without the trainings from ATHome. Everyone is so helpful when you have a question and are quick to respond. ATHome has helped to give my travel agency the professional look and edge for continued success!
AtHine is a good host company to start with. They do provide training. It is self paced and all do-it-yourself online. The people are friendly. The annual fee with commission split is a bit higher than average. The only complaint is that they do not actually pay the commissions. There is a lot of push back on “this needs to be researched”. “not sure we received payment, I will check” etc. I was content until I had to constantly battle to get paid and missed on a lot of commissions
We are disheartened to read that you experienced so much trouble with your commissions. We pride ourselves on our customer service and payment process and work diligently to expedite commission payment as quickly as we can, with the goal of a weekly payment schedule. Despite our efforts to encourage our advisors to book our many preferred partner options, there are definitely instances when advisors book non-preferred suppliers who require us to chase and plead for commission payments. This time-consuming process and research delays payments to our advisors. Like every host agency, we do not pay the commissions to our advisors until the monies are received by the suppliers. It is important to us that we care for each and every advisor – both new and seasoned within the industry – with the personalized service that embodies who we are as a host agency. My husband Nicholas & I have been selling travel for at least 20 yrs. We where with What A Trip Vacations for at least 15 years. Then we where sold to AT Home / Atlas Travel. We are very happy with At Home / Atlas Travel. The best thing they did was to keep Sue Russo, Theresa Lamoureux & Lynn Sierra. They are the life line to the AT Home Travel Advisors. If we need anything we can contact either one of them. They are on top of everything.

I love to travel and to help others plan their travel, so I thought it would be a perfect fit to become a travel advisor. After much research, I decided on What a Trip as a host agency which was later purchased by ATHome, Atlas Travel. I love the networking and collaboration among the advisors and the support provided by the staff.
The ATHome Travel Advisors Facebook group is really a great way to get current travel information and to ask questions. The group is especially invaluable to new advisors.

After much research and looking into other agencies, I decided to make ATHome my host agency and have no regrets. I immediately felt the comradery and warmth from Elaine and Lynn. Both answered all of my numerous questions in a timely manner, were available when I came across an issue that I was unsure of, and made sure that I was connected to multiple suppliers. Although they aren't one of the biggest agencies, in my opinion they are the best. I'm happy with the decision that I made and am looking forward to a long and successful partnership.

I have worked for What A Trip and AARC for over 12 years. In my experience, every person has made me a part of their family. I have never worked for another travel company that respects and truly shows their care. I don't need much attention since have worked at other agencies for some time and have established business. They are always there for me and enjoy talking to them.
