Have done travel for roughly 12 years and very happy with this agency. Do your research well. There are a lot of agencies that promise things they don't live up to. I've been very pleased thus far in my two years with GT. Great qualities and offered what I was looking for as far as technology, support, and independence.
I was very excited over a year ago when I was joining Gateway Travel they didn't have many current reviews but I thought that maybe cuz they were small The service provided to the independent travel advisors would be great but it didn't turn out that way. They don't provide any current training other than a generic training platform that anybody can just go on the internet and take it was nothing special I've been in the industry for quite a long time so the training for me was irrelevant but I knew that I needed to do it to be part of Gateway have a great list of suppliers but if you want to use a supplier that is not listed with them they will reject the permission and will not allow you to make the money on that booking. They have a new agent support group which will give you advice somewhere to find things when you're looking for something. But as a host agency they over promise and they under deliver the social media spark are very generic social media post that are never going to get you anywhere if you have 300 agents using the same post on any social media platform they don't provide any supplier training all the trainings you take have to be on your own and when you ask them to show you how to sell travel they tell you that it's not their responsibility that most people will pay the monthly fee and they won't do anything it's their responsibility to learn how to sell travel it's not their responsibility to teach you so if you're a new agent that's going to this agency what is the point if they're not going to help force to you to be a better travel agent would they rather make money on the monthly fee or would they rather make money by you being successful and booking travel so that they can make commission off of what you book. For me I struggled with booking travel with them and I also struggled with being able to afford the monthly fee at times because of the fact that I wasn't making anything but that's on me that is not on them I had a sub agent that wanted to get her CLIA card and she was told she had to pay $299 in order to be able to get it. Just another way to get more money. For a year they promise to CRM instead of me having to email back and forth getting people's credit card information which is so unsafe. The staff that support staff they're very helpful I will say that but as far as anything else I'd say there are so many better agencies out there some that don't even charge any monthly fees and will give you way more than they do. I hope if they read this review they take it as constructive criticism to try to do better.

Regarding our supplier selection, we restrict suppliers based on previous predatory experiences. Part of our responsibility is to thoroughly vet our suppliers to ensure that our agents are protected and can operate in a secure and supportive environment. (Basically we make sure they pay you).
We're also excited about our Social Media Spark program, which is designed to ignite creativity among our agents. This program has helped many of our agents make hundreds of additional bookings in its first year and I'm sorry that wasn't your experience. Additionally, we recently launched over 500 creative Canva templates available for our agents to use for free—did you have a chance to check those out?
In terms of training, we've significantly expanded our offerings. We now have 20 different training courses with over 500 classes, including weekly live sessions and direct supplier training. Have you had the opportunity to explore these resources? We believe they provide valuable, tailored support for both new and experienced agents.
We understand your concerns about our CRM system. We launched the new Portal on January first, and all existing agents are in the process of transferring over next month. Unfortunately, when working with advanced technology and AI, some delays can occur.
To ensure a smooth transition for our existing agents, we have a thorough onboarding process designed to place them in the perfect spot for their production level. This includes group Zoom support with our staff and a unique, new group each quarter depending on growth and experience.
For our new agents, we offer live group sessions every week along with 1-1 support calls available anytime you want to schedule them. Our live new agent group sessions are tailored to provide the guidance and support needed to kickstart your journey with Gateway Travel.

I really like the tone of this agency. I just finished signing up a few months ago and am already off and running with my first set of clients. Gateway's training modules they have for all their new agents was very helpful and was a tremendous catalyst for more quick growth. They also had a set of marketing models that I could use and follow to start my marketing campaigns with. Very cool and very helpful. Great work Gateway...great work.

I can't say too much about Gateway Travel, as I just recently signed up with them. However, I can point out two important items that I found in my host agency research.
1. They had the most responsive customer service staff which they have named "New Agent Support" and "Current Agent Support". The fast response when I had questions was a customer service agent helping me via chat while I was on their website. VERY helpful.
2. They had the best path for me to build my personal business, and sub-agent business. It's very intuitive and not a complicated journey to join and start your own growing business.
I excited for continuing support and business growth under Gateway Travel's business model!
