Do you suggest TA's incorporate and get their own seller of travel registrations?

Hi!

We recommend that our advisors incorporate so their business is a separate legal entity. How advisors choose to incorporate though varies—some have LLCs while others have S-Corps (most at GTN are LLCs). It’s always best for you to talk to your attorney and accountant about the differences and what is best for your specific situation.

As for getting your own SOT, this is recommended if they are based in a SOT state like California or Florida or often work with clients in those states. An advisor who lives in Minnesota though, and primarily has clients from the Midwest, would not necessarily need to get her own SOT because they are covered under GTN’s. However, that does change if that same advisor were to bring on ICs (they would not be covered).

What do you require of agents to join your company?

We require you to have a conversation with our sales team about your business and how GTN best fits your needs. We take agents through our new to the industry program or as an experienced agent, once we speak with you we can better determine where we fit best.

I focus on business travel. Is Gifted a good fit for that niche?

How much do your agents earn on average, and how much can I expect to make in commissions?

Gifted Travel Network agents earn commission based on what they are booking and special promotions but generally range from 8% to 14%.

How would a new person get started.  Would I have to get a certification first?  What is the next step after that?

To join Gifted Travel Network all our new to the industry agents are required to do our Travel MBA program. This is a one year mentorship program led by a skilled Travel Mentor who has helped many other agents build their businesses in the way they want them to be shaped, not fitting into a mold someone else conceived. She hosts group coaching calls twice a week and is there to answer questions for you whenever you need it. You also work through online modules throughout the program as you learn information about not just the travel industry, but building your business.

Do you have to sign up for the Travel MBA program or can you purchase one of the other commission plans right away and forgo the training?

Is the travel MBA program cost of $4,997 in addition to the initial start fee and the monthly commission option cost?

The Travel MBA program cost is $4997, and the MBA program includes a 70% commission split complementary.  There is a $100 application fee to start the process and we do offer monthly payment plans. If you would want to switch to the 80/90/100% commission plans there is a monthly fee added on.
