New Travel Quest Tool Serves Up Fresh Social Media Content for Agents

Last updatedMarch 11, 2014

Travel Quest unveils their unique social media tool that provides agents with a library of frequently updated photos, videos and recommended posts to search and use in support of their businesses. The new tool, called TQ Content Crusader, is a wealth of knowledge and ideas that can be used on independent agents’ own Facebook, Twitter, Google+, blogs, and websites.

“We’ve consistently talked with agents who are overwhelmed by what social media is and how to use it as a marketing tool,” says Travel Quest’s owner Bonnie Lee. “Agents don’t know where to start so they don’t and that’s why we were so eager to get this program going, we knew it was something our agents could really use and benefit from.”

Fresh Content Daily

Live since February 1st, TQ Content Crusader already boasts hundreds of video, photo and article posts for agents to use and is updated multiple times a day. For those hectic days when you don’t want to think of something clever to say, the suggested posts can be a huge timesaver.

“Our agents are busy,” says Nicole Marson, TQ’s social media marketer, “they don’t have time every day to research new things to post and most don’t want or can’t afford to pay someone to manage their social media accounts. Our program takes the grunt work out of posting; it finds fresh content in all sorts of categories and puts it out there for our agents to use however they want.”

Since there are no individual charges related to use of the tool or recommended content, it is truly an added value that Travel Quest offers agents within their program.

Giselle C., a TQ agent from South Dakota, says, “I like that all the info is found and you pick what you would like to post, with suggestions! I like suggestions!”

Whether an agent is a generalist or in a few niche markets, we like to encourage them to vary their posts." - Marson

Currently, TQ’s Content Crusader has 130 categories that range from specific destinations, like Athens, Central America and Las Vegas, to interests, like surfing, archaeology, and eco-tourism. The posts are all tagged so you can easily find one in a category you’re interested in or you can browse through the category list for new ideas. “Whether an agent is a generalist or in a few niche markets,” says Marson, “we like to encourage them to vary their posts. It keeps your page attractive from new to prospective clients that want to see more than just your typical tropical photos.”

More than Just Content

TQ Content Crusader offers more than postings; it also features pages for Best Practices for Posting, Facebook ‘How to’ Videos, Tips for Creating Engagement and their newest addition, Vendor Advertising.

“We beta tested Content Crusader and there were two repeated themes in the feedback,” says Lee. “They wanted to know how to post and they wanted to know where to find specials to push out to clients.”

While many vendors have their own marketing pages with banner ads and even social media content, they are all in different locations and often difficult or time-consuming to find and pull together. TQ Content Crusader’s vendor advertising page compiles these sites along with short descriptions on what they have to offer (banner ads, e-brochures, customized emails, etc.).

A Big Future

“We’ve been getting rave reviews so far and our agents have been giving great feedback on how to expand the site,” says Marson. By May of this year, agents can expect to see a Travel Trivia page that will have - you guessed it - trivia questions for agents to use to create engagement with prospective clients and a specials page that will list the latest deals from top vendors along with corresponding banner ads and flyers to push out to clients.
