San Diego, CA (September 15, 2016) — Today at CoNexion 2016 in San Diego, Nexion®, the travel industry’s premier host travel agency, revealed the substantive progress made to date on its ambitious technology overhaul, which was first announced a year ago. Dubbed myNexion, the dramatically upgraded technological platform, that will replace its current WebView portal, is being designed to ultimately serve as a crucial one-stop suite for Nexion’s independent travel agents to build and manage their businesses. The announcement was made during Nexion’s annual CoNexion conference at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego, CA.
“This year’s CoNexion is all about building bridges, not only between Nexion agents and their clients, but also between Nexion and our highly diverse agent population, whether they are travel industry veterans or new to this business,” noted Nexion President Jackie Friedman, CTC, CTIE. “Beyond our personal interaction with our agents and networking opportunities like CoNexion, nothing is more vitally important to bridging the gap between us and our agents than our technology platform. The new myNexion technology platform will provide Nexion agents with a fresh and vibrant new portal where they can:
- Access a variety of business-building technology tools to more effectively and efficiently serve their clients, including pinSIGHT (parent company Travel Leaders Group’s Hotel Division portal to book over 100,000 hotels worldwide), SNAP! (Simple Nexion Air Program enabling agents to easily book air and earn commissions), andCruisePRO (thanks to their affiliation with Vacation.com, Nexion agents are able to easily sell cruises and earn commissions through this agent booking platform).
- Manage their bookings through a customized version of AgentMate – the proprietary customer relationship management (CRM) and marketing tool offered by Vacation.com, yet tailored specifically for the needs of Nexion. Agents will have reporting solutions at their fingertips, along with customized dashboards to run their businesses. Beyond the core offering that Nexion is providing agents at no cost, qualifying agents have the opportunity to purchase modules of interest to them.
