MTravel's 2016 Conference to Be Held on Norwegian Escape

Last updatedDecember 30, 2015

MTravel™, the host agency division of Montrose Travel, has launched their 8th Annual Educational Conference for September 3-10, 2016. Together with their preferred supplier partners and independent travel professionals, the host will sail aboard the new Norwegian Escape for a week of first-hand product and destination experience, industry networking and in-depth training sessions.

An Instantaneous Success

The conference, MTravel’s first on a sailing of this length, was almost entirely sold out within three days of launching. Emily Peters, MTravel Business Development Manager, credits this to the positive reputation surrounding prior conferences. “Our educational conferences represent the best of what our host agency has to offer,” said Peters. “Our agents and supplier partners return year over year because we honor their investment by consistently improving our agenda based on their feedback and introduce new topics to help them grow their businesses."

Conference Highlights

In addition to a week-long cruise to the Eastern Caribbean, independent travel professionals have the option to arrive in Miami early for a full day of training. Pre-conference attendees will have access to a private tour of Norwegian Cruise Line’s headquarters, specialized training sessions, an in-person meeting with NCL executives and exclusive CLIA training to go towards their accreditation.

Core conference attendees will have access to additional CLIA accredited training, as well as multiple special events including supplier roundtable discussions, intimate one-on-one mentoring sessions to review topics pertinent to their travel business, in-port site inspections, a private tour of The Haven by Nowegian® luxury suites, networking events and much more.

“Navigate Your Future”

The conference theme, “Navigate Your Future”, was partly influenced by the recent industry announcement of Montrose Travel being acquired by industry leader, Corporate Travel Management (CTM). “Blending our 60 years of experience in the industry into CTM’s existing family was the best move for our future success,” said Andi Mysza, President of MTravel. “This kind of pro- active forward-thinking is precisely what we want to cultivate among our own independent travel professionals for their growth, and the conference training will reflect that.”
