Montrose Travel Brings it Home with Regional Trainings

Montrose Travel has launched a collection of regional training events spanning from coast to coast. Exclusive to independent travel professionals belonging to their host agency MTravel, these events are designed to connect agents with their preferred supplier partners and their peers for specialized training and networking.

Meeting Agents in Their Backyard

Beyond the five weekly webinars taught by live trainers, Montrose Travel’s Annual Educational Conference (taking place this September in Montego Bay, Jamaica) has been the main training event to gather MTravel staff, affiliates and preferred suppliers together for a more comprehensive training experience. In early 2015, the team at MTravel decided to expand the conference concept into local events to engage with agents in their own backyards.

“Our regional training events will give us significantly more touchpoints for personal time with our agents,” said Andi Mysza, President of MTravel. “Home-based travel professionals can so frequently feel alone in their business. They need the opportunity to get out, interact with their peers and supplier partners, deepen their skills and stay inspired. We want to provide that for them – it’s about engagement.”

From California to New York and Beyond

The pilot regional event took place this May in Pasadena, California to positive reviews from both agent and supplier participants. Due to the positive feedback, Montrose Travel is adding events in San Diego, Santa Ana, San Francisco, Atlanta, Las Vegas and New York.

Featured participating supplier partners include: Big Five Tours & Expeditions, Celebrity Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Disney, Globus Family of Brands, Holland America Line, MLT Vacations, Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, Princess Cruises, Regent Seven Seas, Royal Caribbean, Tauck, Travel Guard, Travel2 and Uniworld River Cruises.

More Training Events to Come
