Innovation has always been a driving force for KHM Travel Group’s vision of helping others promote travel and experience the world. We hold this value close as we develop new resources, events, and incentives for our agents. Here are just a few of the ways we’ve chosen to support the travel community through innovation this summer.
At the core of our education program is providing timely information for both new and experienced agents. This past spring and summer, the definition of timely has meant what is happening today. We’ve kept our agents in the know through segments on our weekly KHM Today talk show and our Travel Advisor Today email. With such rapid changes in the industry, we’ve found ways to get tools for today in the hands of agents.
Adapting to change with creative solutions is a concept that has led KHM Travel Group through the past year and a half. Even as cruising was paused, we continued to support agents as they assisted clients with understanding cancelation and rebooking policies. During CLIA’s Cruise360 event in July, our efforts were recognized with the 2021 Agency Innovator Award. At our table during this gala were KHM Travel Agents who were invited to share in the excitement of this award win.
We’ve made amazing strides in helping agents get back on track to reach their goals, but we know it’s not over yet. In late June, we made the decision to extend the annual benefits given to top-producing agents through our Basecamp and Pinnacle programs through 2022. Benefits include a higher commission payout and additional exclusive resources.
Continuing the theme of recognition, our Vice President of Industry Relations Anita Pagliasso was recently honored with ASTA’s Barbara O’Hara Advocacy Award – an award given to an ASTA member who has had significant contributions in advocating before governmental authorities. A true maven in the industry, Anita has had a storied career of supporting travel agents. Whether speaking at a conference, mentoring agents, or working behind-the-scenes on legislative issues that impact the industry, Anita is always a voice for the travel agent.
To wrap up a busy summer of innovation, KHM Travel Group is excited to unveil our new logo. At the center of the new logo is a wave, symbolizing the change that is always prevalent and driving our industry forward. The addition of People First Since 2005 echoes what’s at the heart of our innovation – the team, travel agents, and industry partners who make our shared success a reality. Look for our new logo on social media and at industry events this fall!
