Why did you decide to open a travel agency?

I was always told that “if you do the things you love, you will never work a day in your life.” Therefore, I decided to combine my passion for cruising and creating dreams with a business opportunity.

Training is very important to me so my advice is to take advantage of the host agency’s continuing education process. There is so much more to the travel industry than simply searching and booking travel. Continuing education allows one to learn new techniques you may not have been aware. Plus, it keeps you engaged in all aspects of the travel industry.

What is your favorite thing about being a travel agent?

For me, it is all about creating memories for my client. Travel, in my opinion, is another form of education. It exposes families to other cultures, food, fun and history. Hearing the excitement in my client’s voices upon return, when I have picked the prefect cruise for them, is truly priceless.

What do you love most about Cruises Inc.?

That goes back to training and support.
