FAQs

Is it really free?

Heck yeah! Although keep in mind that while the mini-course is free, you will need to have a budget for starting your agency for things like business registration, joining a host or another organization, buying a domain, etc.

One of our passions is helping people successfully start their agencies and we think it’s important to offer a quality program that doesn’t break the bank. Site advertisers subsidize the costs of our free 7 Day Setup LITE.

We do have one ask of you though: if you like the program and end up chatting with any hosts or consortia, we’d love it if you let them know you heard about them through our site!

Will it only take 7 days to set up my agency?

While there are 7 lessons and you can finish the mini-course in 7 days, you won’t be able to set up your agency in seven days. Expect the process of setting up your agency to take you anywhere from ~3 weeks to a few months, depending on how hard you work at it.

What type of support is there?

We provide limited email support for the 7 Day Setup LITE program through our general contact us page. We are happy to answer basic questions but if you’re looking for more support and guidance as you get started, we suggest signing up for our 7 Day Setup Accelerator course.

The Accelerator course offers robust email support and guidance, a course community where the HAR staff is active every biz day, and (2) live monthly meetings for 12 months, where you’ll be able to ask your questions to the HAR team and learn from industry experts.

Is there a completion certificate I can show my host and/or consortium?

Unfortunately not. That said, host agencies are familiar with HAR’s 7 Day Setup LITE program so you can definitely let them know you’ve done your homework!

The 7 Day Setup Accelerator course offers a course completion certificate after students have watched the 70+ short videos, completed all 87 lessons, and received 80% or higher on the quizzes. In some cases, students have been able to enroll with a host as an experienced advisor to bypass their education for having completed our Accelerator Course!

Will this teach me how to book travel?

We’re good, but not quite that good. :) The focus of the 7 Day Setup LITE is to get your agency legally set up and gives you a broad overview of how the travel industry works but does not teach you how to book travel.

After your agency is set up, you’ll be ready for the next step, which is starting to learn the products and destinations you’ll be selling and how to book them. The host agencies, consortia, suppliers, and destinations will offer training to help you with that!
