About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Travel Agent Air Planner to join our Travel Department. In this role, you will collaborate with the Manager of Air, Account Executives, and Program Managers to deliver exceptional air travel services for incentive travel programs. This fast-paced position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience within the incentive travel and hospitality industry while working alongside a team of seasoned travel professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned travel programs from transition through post-trip follow-up.
- Book airline reservations using Sabre GDS, ensuring accuracy and compliance with airline contracts and IATA regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service via phone and email.
- Issue tickets and update financial records in Triptrak to support accounting processes.
- Track and reconcile all ticketing expenses, including company credit card usage.
- Monitor flights, resolve cancellations or misconnects, and coordinate with airlines and Travel Directors to provide timely solutions.
- Ensure accuracy of all passenger information, flight data, and reports.
- Enter and maintain program data in Triptrak, generating detailed air travel reports.
- Collaborate with Operations to confirm updated and accurate travel details.
- Participate in regular team meetings and report progress to the Air Department Manager.
- Maintain confidentiality of both company and client information.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Sabre GDS experience in the travel industry (required).
- Strong knowledge of ticketing, exchanges, refunds, and voids.
- Familiarity with various airline contracts and fare structures.
- Ability to research and forecast group airfares for future programs.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple programs in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
- Professional, detail-oriented, and collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
