As a Travel Support Agent, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional client experiences by managing and supporting end-to-end travel arrangements. This role offers the chance to leverage your expertise in Global Distribution Systems (GDS), particularly Sabre, to provide comprehensive assistance to Travel Agents with booking, troubleshooting, and ensuring a seamless travel experience.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end booking of air, car, hotel, and rail travel, ensuring accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with travel policies.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of the native Sabre global distribution systems (GDS) and booking platforms to facilitate smooth and efficient travel arrangements.
- Manage inquiries and troubleshoot issues related to all bookings (domestic, international) promptly, ensuring exceptional customer service and client satisfaction.
- Manage travel reservations, cancellations, and itinerary changes.
- Escalate complex issues when appropriate, providing timely resolutions and maintaining exceptional service standards.
- Manage high volume email requests and telephone calls in support of Travel Agents to facilitate the booking process, adhering to SLA requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to provide personalized support and tailored solutions.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to engage professionally with clients at all organizational levels.
- 2+ years in a travel service environment, managing bookings and resolving client issues.
- Direct experience with a Global Distribution System (GDS) with expertise in Native Sabre required.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, handling high volumes of requests while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with clients and executive-level team members.
NOTE: The working hours for this role are Monday to Thursday from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM EST, and Sundays from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM EST. We strive to provide advance notice if any additional weekend hours are required.
