Team members are avid travelers with first-hand experience across cruises and global destinations, enabling them to offer informed, personalized travel advice.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Travel Agent role based in the Defiance, Ohio Metropolitan Area. The Travel Agent will assist clients in planning and booking leisure and corporate travel, including flights, hotels, cruises, tours, and transportation. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and managing reservations, advising clients on destinations and travel options, and ensuring itineraries align with traveler preferences and budgets. The role involves handling travel documentation, resolving booking issues, coordinating changes or cancellations, and maintaining accurate client profiles. The Travel Agent will also support sales initiatives, follow up on inquiries, and contribute to delivering the high level of customer service Central Travel is known for.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong skills in Reservations and Travel Arrangements, including booking air, hotel, cruise, tours, and related services.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, build client relationships, and handle issues professionally.
  • Candidates should possess Sales skills, including the ability to identify client needs, recommend suitable travel options, and close bookings.
  • Additional beneficial qualifications include familiarity with GDS or online booking tools, attention to detail, organizational skills, prior agency or hospitality experience, and a passion for travel.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary education in travel, tourism, business, or a related field is an advantage.
