POSITION: Manager, Travel Support (Full-Time, Exempt)

DIRECT REPORT: Director, Business Ops & Support

COMPENSATION: Pursuant to applicable regulations, if this job is performed in a relevant State, the salary range is $75,000-$85,000 plus bonus potential. Summary

The Manager, Travel Support is responsible for the coordination of resources for the Cardinal Group Management operations team including, but not limited to, travel team assignments, travel team training support, and dedicated training support provided by the Operations Performance Analysts.

In addition, the Manager, Travel Support will work with the team to ensure an adequate understanding of available training resources, and standard operating procedures are kept up in an effort to continually improve work processes. Team members reporting to the Manager, Travel Support will maintain a knowledge base of technical and system solutions to ensure the organization's infrastructure is as efficient and productive as possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES: (Including but not limited to)

  • Directly manage the schedules and tasking for the Travel Team at Cardinal and the Operations Specialist Managers that directly oversee the travel team members. This will entail communicating performance standards for all Travel Team positions, ensuring train-back sessions are maintained to document knowledge checks while providing regular substantive feedback to the Operations Specialists Managers.
  • Effectively manage and oversee approved budget and financial reporting for all travel team expenses, bill back allocations, and resources.
  • Establish a high level of performance, consistency, and teamwork among the travel team and Operations Performance Analysts.
  • Collaborate directly with Cardinal Operations Team members to understand the operational support needs, and to deploy travel team resources to meet those needs, including onsite vacancy support, and onsite team member training needs.
  • Involvement in transitions-related meetings, coordinating directly with the Operations Team representatives as it relates to travel team support.
  • Participate in the development, deployment, and maintenance of operations tools, strategies, strategy documents, workflows, SOPs, training deliverables, and other operational material.
  • Participate in the testing of new tools, workflows, and SOPs and provide quality control feedback on new and existing processes.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other departments internal to Cardinal Group Management, including the Systems Team, the Compliance Team, the Accounting Team, and the People and Culture Team.
  • Work directly with the Operations Performance Analysts on maintaining the portfolio’s performance in operations, accounting, and financial sectors, providing training, and coaching as needed.
  • Actively support business units to drive the effective selection, development, implementation, and integration of analytics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to optimize business activities and make meaningful intelligence/reporting possible
  • Actively work with the Operations Performance Analysts to identify opportunities for improvement and engage in cross-functional initiatives to drive improved performance with team members
  • Demonstrate a positive, professional, and client-oriented attitude about the company with team members and clients. Produce professional business writings, assessments, memos, and projects based on performance findings
  • Provide exceptional customer service/assistance to communities and HQ team members.
  • Support software product customization based on community requirements and feedback.
  • Develop and maintain internal custom training programs specific to the travel team, Operations Specialists Managers, and Operations Performance Analysts to foster their ability to grow into other roles at Cardinal Group.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Operational Directors/Managers, as well as other members of the executive and management team.
  • Attend seminars, webcasts, and conferences, read professional journals, etc. to keep apprised of new industry developments, new products, compliance, and regulatory changes
  • Assist with other projects and assignments as assigned by the team leader.
  • Participate in Cardinal U training as required.

The Team Member must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver office products and supplies of up to twenty (20) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Routine local travel is required to attend training classes, client visits, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position. Overnight travel is required to attend company functions, training, property visits, and other situations necessary for the accomplishment of special projects that may be assigned from time to time.
