Travel Coordinator

Anthology Travel
Full-timeLeisure AgentWashington, DCRemote

Anthology Travel is a boutique luxury travel agency that curates deeply personal, seamlessly executed journeys for discerning clients around the world. We craft experiences that feel like they were designed expressly for that traveler - and that no one could have designed but us. We aim for journeys that are deeply personal, seamlessly executed, and intentionally designed.

We're founder-led and values-driven, currently in an exhilarating season: scaling without losing intimacy, building structure, and ensuring growth never comes at the expense of what makes us different. Our unofficial mascot is a calico cat named Poppy, who perfectly embodies our approach: equal parts grace and curiosity.

Our small but mighty team thrives on curiosity, collaboration, and rigor. We ask the extra questions, sweat the details, and believe in transparency and empathy as much as efficiency. We're looking for a Travel Coordinator who embodies this ethos - carefully balancing multiple priorities while remembering that the thing clients come back for is the personal touch.

The Role

This is the behind-the-scenes work that ensures every detail is in place: managing complex itineraries, confirming reservations, monitoring communication with clients and suppliers, and drafting thoughtful touring suggestions. Some tasks are technical and clerical; others require nuance, judgment, and the ability to make smart calls in real time.

What you’ll do:

  • Coordinate and build itineraries with precision and care
  • Make and confirm reservations across hotels, tours, and transfers
  • Track correspondence with clients and suppliers to keep details aligned
  • Review touring options and draft clear, tailored suggestions
  • Prepare and process payment authorization forms
  • Balance structured tasks with moments that call for discernment and creativity
  • Interface directly with both clients and supplier partners via phone and email

What we’re looking for:

  • Proactive problem-solvers with a sharp eye for detail
  • Strong communicators who understand hospitality isn’t just face-to-face but also in every email and call
  • People energized by complex logistics and eager to build a career in luxury travel
  • A mindset that balances rigor with flexibility - able to follow a process while knowing when a client experience calls for a different approach

Availability:

  • 30 hours/week, with consistent availability between 9 am-5 pm ET
  • Flexible enough to occasionally respond to after-hours issues (this is extremely rare)
  • Very occasional travel (annual team retreat; quarterly offsite with leadership team)

Compensation: Please note that the compensation for this role starts at $20/hr

Bonus Points If You…

  • Have previously thrived in a client-service environment where relationships were just as important as outcomes
  • Have experience in travel or hospitality
  • Share our belief that the best work happens when people feel seen, supported, and inspired to do their best

This is an opportunity to grow within a boutique luxury agency known for its creativity, precision, and deeply personal service. If you thrive on order, care about details, and want your work to make travel feel effortless for others, we’d love to hear from you.
