Position Overview
The Senior Travel Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales of group tours, FIT packages, and flight bookings, building strong client relationships, and expanding Akshar Travels’ presence across the USA. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in travel sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, manage, and grow sales for international and domestic tours, flight bookings, and customized travel packages.
- Act as the primary contact for B2C clients and community partners within the USA (especially Indian/Gujarati communities).
- Manage and convert inbound leads from website, social media, and referrals into confirmed bookings.
- Conduct outbound sales calls, community outreach, and presentations to generate new business.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, partners, and suppliers.
- Prepare quotations, itineraries, and presentations tailored to client needs.
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets and prepare performance reports.
- Coordinate with internal visa, operations, and ticketing teams to ensure smooth execution of client bookings.
- Represent Akshar Travels USA at promotional events, expos, and community activities.
- Provide feedback to management on market trends, competitor activity, and product improvements.
- Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree (Hospitality, Tourism, or Business preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in travel/tourism sales, preferably in group tours, FITs, or airline ticketing.
- Strong client-facing and negotiation skills with proven ability to close sales.
- In-depth knowledge of international destinations (Europe, USA, Asia, etc.), flight booking systems, and travel products.
- Familiarity with GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills (English required; Gujarati/Hindi an added advantage).
- Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and social media marketing for lead generation.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of accountability.
