We are currently assisting our client, one of the largest fast-growing global manufacturing and electrical engineering companies (6k+ employees with multi-million dollar domestic & international travel), in their search for a Corporate Travel Agent, for their locations covering Virginia. CANDIDATES MUST LIVE IN THE STATE OF VIRGINIA. 100% REMOTE work is offered, however there is mandatory monthly travel to the Corporate HQ office in Northern VA for department meeting (all travel accommodations provided however, this is reason for preference of a VA resident). This position will join a team of 4 and report directly into the Corporate Travel Manager in the finance department. This position will require at times, 40-to-50-hour work weeks and there is a weekend coverage rotation - a must. Growing company and will continue to grow the team as needed!

The annual salary base is negotiable with experience is $70k annual base salary AND UP (DOE years in corporate travel industry from 5 years minimum and HIGHER - they compensate higher than the average industry and will absolutely negotiate for higher experience, especially with management experience - leadership will be entering retirement soon and they are seeking their successor), plus travel accommodations, mileage reimbursement, technology tools, cell reimbursement, company credit card, STELLAR benefits and EXTREME upward mobility career growth!!

PURPOSE:

Process and book travel requests for global travel to include a high volume of corporate airlines, hotels, and transportation transactions. Assist and problem-solve for corporate travelers. Manage reservations, extensions, travel changes, and ticket refunds. Skills require proficiency with Sabre (DBS system requirement), superior customer service, detail oriented, and the willingness to work a flexible work schedule.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Telephoning hotels and motels to substantiate monthly cost allocations. Request customer folio's (receipts) to be matched against invoices and employee names for accuracy.
  • Preparing and providing travel input to statistical reports for all travel performed by each company, division and department of MCD.
  • Performing daily data entry to all department reports systems, including statistical compilation.
  • Gathers information and follows procedures for booking all travel discipline utilizing proprietary software.
  • Assists in personal travel arrangements for employees of MCD.
  • Compiles and reports statistical compilation for all travel disciplines.
  • This position will require you to have a rotating schedule.

EDUCATION:

  • 10+ years of experience preferred with travel agency, corporate & government travel experience
  • Open to 5+ years of experience with a 4-year degree and a true "go-getter" attitude
  • (Leisure travel or hospitality experience not needed at this time)
  • Proficiency with Sabre required (DBS system)
