AdventureConnect in Wales

We will be spending the afternoon in a local woodland biodiversity project, Ty'n-y-Pistyll, in north east Wales to carry out essential maintenance to help the younger trees in the area thrive. This event is a great opportunity to connect and network outdoors while getting hands on with a truly local sustainability project.

Detailed Agenda:

12:30: Meet at the Griffin Inn in Llanbedr Dyffryn Clwyd (near Ruthin)

13:00: Depart for the Ty'n y Pistyll woodland site within Moel Famau Country Park, where rangers from the Clwydian Range & Dee Valley National Landscape will provide a briefing on the work we'll be doing today to help maintain this woodland space to promote healthy growth of the young trees planted over the past couple of years

16.30: Return to the Griffin Inn in Llanbedr Dyffryn Clwyd

18:00: Drinks and presentations at the Griffin Inn

19:00: Optional dinner at the Griffin Inn

22:30: Close

Gloves and tools will be provided but feel free to bring your own gardening gloves if you have them! Dress for the outdoors, ensuring you have long trousers, long sleeved top and sturdy boots.

If you wish to stay overnight, there is limited accommodation available at the Griffin Inn in Llanbedr: Griffin Inn, Llanbedr-Dyffryn-Clwyd, Ruthin LL15 1UP. Alternatively there are a few small B&Bs nearby and a couple of hotel options in the nearby town of Ruthin.
