HELLO, NEW WORLD

First in, last out of the pandemic and in 2023, with the reopening of China, North Asia said hello to the world again. After almost three years of living behind masks and borders, travellers in markets like Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan and China were free to look up and about, and travel again.

And what a different, new world they found, because while their travels were restricted, the rest of the world had moved on, and emerged into a universe of changed mindsets, attitudes and values, accelerated technology and innovation, different customers, reimagined business models, new players and diverse voices, a louder-than-ever call for sustainability and, literally, an other meta world.
