It's a Boy—Welcome to the World, Avi! Congrats Mary!
Me oh my. Am I ever excited to announce that our talented and amazing editor, Mary Stein, is a proud mama to one Avi Birch Fulmer Stein! Having seen him and held him, I can confirm — without any bias at all — that he is absolutely adorable and perfect. 😊
Surprising us all with an early arrival, proud parents Mary and Gabie welcomed this little guy into the world on Saturday, February 17th, 2018 at 8:04 am. Weighing in at 8 lbs. 6 oz and measuring 20.5 inches, Avi is a healthy and happy baby with parents that are over the moon!
The Nova Situation
And how is big sister Nova taking to this new family member? A few thoughts from Nova:
- I love him.
- He doesn't have any chew toys or bones to play with, which I think is why he cries.
- Very odd sleeping habits. He's up in the middle of the night!
The Mary Situation
Well, the first thing to mention is Mary is understandably gaga for Avi. Mary's been resting up and apparently has a knack for dressing her child in the cutest clothes imaginable.

The 'What to do While in Labor' Debate
Now, on to a serious question I have. Is it normal to be messaging your co-workers on Slack about work ... WHILE YOU'RE IN LABOR?!?!

And holy smokers! We had our readers guess the day Avi would arrive and I'm seriously thinking that Rowena Daniels can tell the future. The date she guessed was spot on and her time was off by a mere 62 minutes!
