Host Agency Reviews Launches Review Integrity Initiative

Minneapolis, Sept. 30th, 2021 – Host Agency Reviews (HAR), has launched the Review Integrity Initiative to address fraudulent reviews from individuals who seemingly intended to discredit listed travel companies and/or interfere with site operations. The measures taken with the Review Integrity initiative will bolster measures already in place to eliminate fraudulent reviews.

Before the initiative, HAR created safeguards against false and fraudulent reviews. The Review Integrity Initiative includes additional steps to ensure that companies listed on Host Agency Reviews are represented accurately and that advisors will come away with helpful information.

HAR hired a security consultant and collaborated with companies listed on the site in a roundtable discussion to steer the changes outlined in HAR’s Review Integrity Initiative. A summary of the resulting updates are listed below:

1. A verified advisor badge on reviewer profiles for those who submit voluntary documentation to verify company affiliation
2. Required proof of affiliation before posting a negative review
3. A label on reviews that are older than two years to indicate to readers that info in the review may no longer be current
