A day in the life of the After Hours Corporate Travel Specialist may include:

  1. Providing travel services for domestic, trans-border and international itineraries
  2. Counseling clients on efficient routes, lowest available airfares, and travel products/services
  3. Maintaining excellent client relations
  4. Relating to clients at various levels within their organizations using diplomacy and tact
  5. Anticipating client needs and act on special requests
  6. Maintaining awareness and adherence to our clients’ procedures, programs, and policy guidelines
  7. Consistent application of Fox World Travel practices and programs
  8. Meeting and striving to exceed quality and productivity goals
  9. Working under pressure and effectively multi-task while maintaining professional rapport with clients
  10. Performing in a team environment
  11. Assisting with projects when required
  12. Assisting customers with online booking tool questions and fulfilling online reservations
  13. Processing exchanges for travelers
  14. Maintaining a favorable working relationship with co-workers in all departments to foster an environment of trust and mutual respect
  15. Ensuring optimum customer service through effective use of computer systems and positive telephone techniques
  16. Maintaining working knowledge of airline practices, programs, and operations
  17. Possessing working knowledge of vendor loyalty programs, security requirements, documentary requirements, and destination geography
  18. Maintaining high level of competency on Apollo/Smartpoint GDS
  19. Providing specialized services to VIP clients
  20. Acting as a role model to reinforce superior customer service and professionalism
  21. Identifying and suggesting Fox World Travel process enhancements
  22. Assisting team members with research and resolution of service issues
  23. Assisting in transitioning new team members
  24. Striving for continual improvement through training and constructive feedback
  25. Maintaining a favorable and collaborative working relationship with team members in all departments to foster an environment of trust and mutual respect. Drive standards and best practices whenever possible and effectively foster a culture of engagement.
  26. Enhancing the organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  27. Being innovative and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of operations and services performed.
  28. Possessing the ability to work flexible night, weekend and holiday hours and shifts as determined by business need and client call volume.
  29. Other duties, projects and alternate assignments as determined by business need.

  1. 3-plus years related Business Travel experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

  3. Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
  4. Travelport GDS knowledge.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  6. Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  7. Friendly and professional demeanor.
  8. Knowledge of industry codes and practices.
  9. Skills in usage of a personal computer and various software packages.
  10. Bi-lingual proficiency; preference will be given to bi-lingual (Spanish) candidates.
  11. Availability to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
  12. Ability to work four (4) ten-hour days per week consisting of:Two days (Monday - Friday)Weekday start times between 12:00pm - 8:30pm CT
  13. Two days (Saturday and Sunday)Weekend start times between 7:00am - 8:30pm CT

Occasional business travel, overnight stay may be required for training.

Incumbent must be able to travel by airplane, rail, boat and/or car at any given time as required by the position. Ability to drive to client and company locations.

For On-site and Hybrid Associates: Regular attendance is necessary to successfully perform this job; extended hours may be necessary from time to time. The incumbent works in an office environment where the noise level is low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including but not limited to computers, a headset, a mouse, a keyboard, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

For Work-At-Home Associates: Regular attendance is necessary to successfully perform this job; extended hours may be necessary from time to time. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including but not limited to computers, a headset, a mouse, and a keyboard.

Occasional business travel, overnight stay may be required - up to 15%. Ability to drive to home inspection locations, if required.
