POSITION SUMMARY

Sony Corporation of America’s travel group SEG Travel is seeking an experienced, customer-focused Travel Counselor with knowledge in both domestic and international travel, for a remote/work from home position. Candidates with previous corporate travel booking experience strongly desired. The counselor will be part of a team located on both the east and west coast will support travel reservations booked online, as well as creating offline reservations in Travelport’s Apollo GDS.

This is a remote role requiring a schedule of Monday - Friday 8:45am - 5:45pm PST.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

  1. Handles requests for travel information received by telephone, email or online
  2. Schedules itinerary by identifying, booking and confirming route, carriers, lodging and ground services
  3. Clarifies travel preferences by determining travel dates, mode of transportation and destination
  4. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION

Your qualifications and experience should include:

  1. Minimum of 2 years experience in a corporate travel enviroment
  2. Excellent Customer Service skills
  3. Knowledge of domestic and international travel arranging
  4. Strong attention to detail, well organized, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Knowledge of computer reservation system (Apollo or Galileo preferred)
  6. Must have High School diploma or equivalent
  7. Must be eligible to work unrestricted in the USA

The target annualized base salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
