POSITION SUMMARY

Supplier Relations Manager (SRM) will be the main contact between KHM Travel Group and a portfolio of KHM Travel Group’s suppliers. SRM will work closely with Vice President of Sales to focus independent travel agent sales and corporate initiatives on key suppliers. They will negotiate agreements; meet with suppliers; track, analyze and review production; and determine and help coordinate promotions. SRM will be responsible for overall financial performance of assigned suppliers, inclusive of upfront commissions, backend incentives and co-op marketing. SRM will coordinate with Supplier Relations Assistant and the Marketing Team to ensure co-op promotions are updated and executed each month. SRM will work with Agent Support when needed to resolve any escalated issues by helping them reach key contacts at a particular supplier.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

·Extensive Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel experience a must)

·College degree is required

·Ability to manage stress and deal with challenges in a positive way

·Excellent communication skills

·Ability to work without close supervision, respond to management direction, and take responsibility for projects

·Must demonstrate the ability to work with and accept feedback from team members, managers, directors, and executives on a regular basis

·Must possess excellent time-management skills, the ability to pay close attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven creative environment

·Must possess ability to handle, organize, and communicate status of multiple projects at different stages of completion

·Must use problem-solving skills to keep projects moving forward on a timely basis

·Must possess the ability to work well independently and as part of a team

·Must be driven to motivate and provide direction to other members of project teams

·Must possess and seek to continually deliver exceptional internal and external customer service

·Must possess strong negotiation skills

·Experience with CRM and data analysis preferred

·Must have experience with marketing programs and concepts

·Travel industry background preferred but not required

·Must be able to travel extensively to attend industry and supplier events

RESPONSIBILITIES PRODUCING RESULTS

*Meet in-person and over the phone with all Preferred Suppliers.

*Review weekly reports from key suppliers and update internal reporting.

*Assist agents when situations become escalated by directing them to key supplier contacts.         

*Negotiate yearly contracts/agreements with Preferred Suppliers.

*Meet with suppliers to finalize yearly marketing/advertising plans.

*Forward key promotions/news/training opportunities to Marketing to be added to KHM Travel Insider and Agent Access Weekly emails.

*Approve new suppliers to be added. Determine KHM Travel Group’s Preferred Suppliers.

*Operate effectively on individual projects. Communicate effectively in both technical and business environments.

*Participate in industry events by traveling to attend events throughout the year.

*Represent the Supplier Relations Team at Boot Camp, Destination Success, and any other KHM Travel Group events.

*Ensure all supplier budgets have been spent each year.

*Set up supplier bonus commission promotions.
