Guggenheim is seeking an exceptional Travel Manager to join its Strategic Sourcing team which reports to the Global Head of Strategic Sourcing and Expense Management. This individual will be responsible for day-to-day support for Travel Management across the entire firm. The successful candidate will have travel management related experience, ability to prioritize work load and meet deadlines, and be comfortable with a fast-paced environment. 

This position is located in New York City, New York.

  1. Specific Responsibilities Include
  2. Reports to Corporate Services Manager and assists with day-to-day management of our portfolio of vendors in Travel (Hotels, Airlines, Rail, and Ground Transportation),
  3. Develop strong relationships with internal business partners and third-party vendors
  4. Schedule and participate in Quarterly Business Reviews of service providers
  5. Create and analyze periodic and ad-hoc reports
  6. Work with internal business partners to identify opportunities to enhance services received
  7. Conduct monthly training sessions for new hires to educate them on the Travel program
  8. Create and distribute quarterly travel reports to senior managers across the Firm
  9. Co-Manage issuance and evaluation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from service providers
  10. Monitor and troubleshoot various issues that arise from stakeholders and vendors
  11. Identify new suppliers and innovative technologies for cost savings opportunities for the Firm

  1. Skills & Experience Required
  2. Bachelor’s degree
  3. Minimum 5 years of travel management related experience
  4. Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
  5. Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) and collaborate with at all levels of management, as well as outside vendors and clients
  6. Ability to prioritize work load and meet deadlines
  7. Process improvement skills
  8. Good interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  9. Ability to work within a team, as well as independently
  10. Must be detailed oriented and able to manage competing priorities
