Job Title: Travel Consultant

Department: Marine - Operations

Location: Virtual Fort Lauderdale HQ -North America

Position Reports To: Manager Operations North America and Canada

Direct Reports: Travel Consultants North America and Canada

Job Purpose:

This After-hours position is responsible for booking domestic and international commercial marine, private yachts and corporate travel arrangements for internal and external GMT clients. To be part of a global booking team and to support the sales and revenue targets set by GMT.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Successful completion of initial training program as well as concurrent training relating to adherence to GMT booking and ticketing processes including all internal and governmental policies and procedures. Responsiveness to coaching and feedback from Supervisors as it relates to booking practices.

2. Talking to clients either by phone, email or live web support

3. Booking tickets as per client requests according to contractual/negotiated guidelines using net airfares and following the instructions for Quality Control and Training Consultant Standards.

4. Acts on crisis management for untoward incidences pertaining to airline booking and reports this promptly and formally to his/her superior and to client concerned for the corrective actions.

5. Collect payments and processing credit card transactions, as needed

6. Issuing tickets, as needed

7. Work with Accounting department to solve any errors, questions, debit memos, etc.

Performance Measures:

1. Performance against agreed sales related financial budgets/targets

2. Performance against agreed Quality assurance accuracy measures

3. Customers feedback from internal and external clients

4. Annual evaluations from Supervisors

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

1. Proficient in Amadeus booking and ticketing to provide air, hotel and car bookings

2. Strong international routing knowledge and well versed in world geography

3. Minimum 3 years experience in the maritime industry (cruise or airline)

3. Experienced in working with Corporate, VIP and Executive Travel

4. Excellent English written/verbal communication skills and proficient in Outlook

5. Strong customer service skills with excellent phone manner

6. Able to work well under pressure, well organized, able to prioritize, detail oriented and perform multiple tasks
