Travel Entrepreneurship Week Virtual Summit Kicks off June 5, 2017
The second annual Travel Entrepreneurship Week, hosted by the Global Institute for Travel Entrepreneurs (GIFTE), will take place June 5-9, 2017. This free virtual summit will focus on the essential elements to being a successful travel entrepreneur.
Meredith Hill, Jennifer Cochrane and Vanessa McGovern will host two live sessions each day focusing on topics ranging from branding and marketing, to mindset. The first session each day will take place at noon Eastern and will focus on presenting content and answering questions about the topic of the day.
The second session each day will take place at 3pm Eastern, and will feature a success case of a travel entrepreneur who is excelling at the topic discussed that day. Guests include: Kleon Howe of The Art of Travel, Kara Robinson of Elite Travel Designs, Shannon LeBlanc of Paradise Vacation Escapes and Brianna Glenn of Milk + Honey Travels. “The feedback from last year’s Travel Entrepreneurship Week was incredible,” said GIFTE founder, Meredith Hill. “Travel Entrepreneurship Week is all about letting travel professionals know that success is out there in today’s travel marketplace, and it is completely within their reach. Entrepreneurship in travel is something that Meredith and her team know a lot about. Meredith struggled for years before finding the path to success for her own travel business. “There was plenty of product information out there, but there just wasn’t anyone out there teaching travel agents how to run a business,” she said. Meredith decided to fill this educational gap by founding GIFTE in 2011 to help other travel professionals learn business practices and marketing strategies that will help them run successful travel businesses.
Since 2011, Meredith and the GIFTE team have coached hundreds of travel professionals to success. Last year, Meredith was awarded ASTA’s Entrepreneur of the Year award in recognition of her work through GIFTE.
Throughout Travel Entrepreneurship Week, Meredith, Vanessa and Jen will share key strategies that they teach through GIFTE, which have helped many members of the GIFTE community catapult their businesses to the next level.
“One of our missions at GIFTE is to put the travel agent back on the radar screen of the traveling public,” said GIFTE EVP, Vanessa McGovern. “The best way to do that is by helping travel agents learn to run successful businesses. We aim to do just that during Travel Entrepreneurship Week.”
