163 Independent Agents Hosted at 4th Annual Travel Quest National Meeting In Minneapolis.

September 14, 2017

For the 4th year in a row, Travel Quest held their annual national meeting in Minneapolis with record breaking attendance of 163 agents and 57 vendors. "I am thrilled and humbled by the support of both the agent community and the vendor community." said Bonnie Lee, President and CEO of Travel Quest. The dates for the conference this year were September 9th & 10th.

Two days of training allowed agents to further their destination and supplier knowledge and connecting with colleagues throughout the weekend for one on one peer collaboration. The event included workshops led by Travel Quest's leadership team as well as classes taught by some of the largest travel suppliers in the industry including: Funjet Vacations, GOGO Vacations, Globus Family of Brands, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Viking River Cruise and Delta Vacations. The event also included a tradeshow buzzing with conversations between agents and 57 vendors in attendance.

New to the event for #TQNM17 vendors and agents participated in round table discussions, a FULL day of vendor only classes, over $50,000 in prizes and experienced/newbie agent learning tracks on Sunday. Also for the first time Travel Quest introduced agents to our vendors via two minute "commercials". The video criteria included these aspects: informative, creative, fun and no longer than two minutes. In the end, Travel Quest agents voted on their favorite videos. The Video of Excellence Award went to GOGO Worldwide Vacations followed by DocBrander.com and Holland America Cruises. Based on the vendor and agent participation this portion of #TQNM17 will certainly be back for #TQNM18!

"Most rewarding" Lee said, " was, handing out the 'Agency of Excellence' awards to our top producing and top participating agencies." Twelve Travel Quest independent agencies earned the 2017 Travel Quest Agency of Excellence Award. The award for 2017 was based not only on sales, but on participation in the programs provided by both Travel Quest and Travel Leaders and peer mentoring. "There are so many paths to success, so for 2017 we decided to measure our agents in whole rather than just focus on financial."
