Nexion Announces Keynote Speaker, Programs for CoNexion 2017
Renowned fighter pilot Vernice “FlyGirl” Armour will share her life experiences and help Nexion member agents to harness the power of a “Breakthrough Mentality” mindset
Nexion, the travel industry’s premier host agency, has announced Vernice “FlyGirl” Armour as its keynote speaker for CoNexion 2017, which will take place Sept. 16 – 19, 2017, at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. Armour, America’s first African American female combat pilot in the United States Marine Corps, will share her inspiring life journey and how Nexion members can implement a “Breakthrough Mentality” into their businesses. This year’s CoNexion theme is Think BIG in the Big Easy, and attendees will learn about the latest industry trends, Nexion tools and programs, and be taught additional ways of thinking big for business success.
“We chose ‘Think BIG in the Big Easy’ for CoNexion 2017, because we know that the best way we can support our travel agent members is to give them access to new ideas and the motivation to carry them out,” said Nexion President Jackie Friedman, CTC, CTIE. “That’s why, in addition to the multitude of educational workshops offered at CoNexion, we are bringing in such an inspirational keynote speaker. Vernice “FlyGirl” Armour, and her incredible life story, has helped many others soar, and I am very excited to see and hear how she will encourage our travel agent professionals to further excel in their lives and businesses.”
Leveraging her “Breakthrough Mentality” and “Get Gutsy” mindset, Vernice “FlyGirl” Armour propelled herself from beat cop to combat pilot in a record-breaking three years and became America’s first African American female combat pilot. As featured on CNN, MSNBC, The View, FOX News, Oprah Winfrey and others, FlyGirl’s fresh edgy style, highly contagious energy and unique gutsy essence jump off the stage, page and screen and moves people to action. Since 2007, she has inspired countless organizations and individuals to make gutsy moves and create breakthrough results.
